  1. I'm thinking about retiring to Crossville TN and would like any advise you can give on where to fish. I prefer Lakes or Reservoirs
  2. I plan to retire to the Jacksonville area in June 07 and would appreciate any advise as to where and when to fish the area for bass. I have never fished in FLA so the only thing I'm familiar with is the fishing seasons in Maryland. Most of my fishing in Maryland was at a reservoir where aluminum boats worked great. Would an aluminum boat work it Jacksonville or should I look for fiberglass? Being on a fix income when I retire I will be limited as to what kind of boat I can buy. I will be coming down without a boat so if you know of any reasonable boat rental I would love to hear about it. Thanks Joe
  3. You must not be fishing Loch Raven. I see them just about every time I go. In July I was approached and asked if I had a license and if I had any fish aboard but he did not check if I had either one.
  4. Although written for nightcrawler fishing, "Lukers Love Nightcrawlers" is a great book for anyone interested in fishing. It has great information about structure fishing, boat control as well as information on using a fish finder. And for 10 bucks you can't go wrong.
  5. From Experience I would suggest not using your Camera Phone near water. After taking a picture of a fish I was putting the phone back in its holster and dropped it in a small amount of water in the bottom of the boat. Fortunately after about 2 weeks it finally dried out and started working again. If the phone is under warranty, exposure to moisture will void it. Inside my phone (Motorola) there is a small round sticker that changes to red if it gets wet, thereby allowing your phone company to know it got wet. If you do use your camera phone make sure you have the extra damage policy offered by the phone company.
  6. Here in Harford County Maryland our Public Library carry the In-Fisherman DVD's on Bass Fishing. I have found them very informative. Check your library for the following titles. Bass in the grass Finesse bass tactics Advanced bassin' today Bass location secrets
