How do I insert pictures? I'm not tech savvy enough to figure this out.
I was mistaken about one rod. The Rage is actually the Avid Neo which I got half off from the St Croix website. But I think it's basically the same as the Rage.
I've been really bad (or good depending on your perspective) this off season about ignoring the rod monkey in my head. He has talked me into buying the following:
1) 7'6" Dobyns Champion Extreme spinning medium light
2) 7' St Croix Avid X medium fast casting rod
3) 7'7" Daiwa Zillion crankbait rod
4) 7' Dobyns Fury 705CB medium
5) 7'3" St Croix rage medium spinning rod
I know....I know...maybe 4 too many??? What's your favorite in the list?
I ended up buying an 7' Avid X medium fast casting rod. I plan to fish it in open water and not in heavy weeds so I assume this set up will be sufficient.
Just curious what rod length, action and power you all are using for your Keitech swimbaits? Thanks.
To me it's seems like you would want a more moderate action rod to give the fish a few seconds to get the hook. Does that make sense?
I found a Dobyns Champion 6'8" medium fast for $204.99 and free shipping for you.

I'd say 6.3 to 1 would be about right. 7 to 1 is probably too fast. I bought 3 new Tatula reels in various speeds with the intent of making my 6.3 to 1 for small swimbaits like the Keitechs.
I just ordered a Dobyns Fury 705CB this offseason too. Looking forward to giving it a try. If you sign up for American legacy fishing newsletter you will get $25 off a purchase so the Fury can be had for less than $100. And look at the reviews the Fury gets.
What are the opinions of the Daiwa Zillion casting rods out there? I was kinda excited when I first got it but from of the other reviews it seems like the Tatula is comparable for alot less. Maybe I don't want to know because regretted purchases are always the worst. I'm just learning the in and outs of buying my fishing stuff online.
