  1. So is free shipping on Ebay and Amazon. Don't let convenience stop you from trying McCoys.
  2. Yes the only difference between the 711mhrb and the 721mhrb is 1" in length. The both are rated for 1/4 to 1 ounce lures. Same rod otherwise. It is curious to why make the same rod only 1" different.
  3. And for $20 you can take alot more shots with your ammo unlike a spool of fluoro where you usually get about 200 yards for the same cost or more. Did you get the McCoy Mean green or the Yozuri hybrid?
  4. From what I'm reading you'll probably want to find Mccoy mean green too. Read the reviews on TW. It's pretty hard to find though. I found Yozuri also on Ebay and Amazon.
  5. I'm giving Yozuri a try 10# for my casting and rods and 6# pound for my spinning gear. It sounds that should work.
  6. I think he meant the Keitech storage idea was tough.
  7. Mainly 3.8" fat impacts
  8. Macomb. Mainly fish Lk St Clair and some inland lakes out my way. It shouldn't be much longer now. Already had a few buddies get out in the last week. Glad they changed the catch and release season up here. Though my buddies did have some elderly gentleman ask them if they were targeting bass. They had to politely update him of the new regulations. Thanks for the tip on the line.
  9. I found 1,000 yard spool of Mccoy mean green 8 pound test on Ebay this morning for $20 with free shipping. I'm giving it a whirl.
  10. Yep trying to bring some costs down this year.
  11. Those Keitech packages take about alot of room in my soft tackle box. What is the best method of storage for those things? A Plano box? A zip-lock bag? Thanks for any suggestions you may have. As its time to start smuggling my new orders home from work that my wife doesn't know about
  12. Which fishing line wins that battle?
  13. Mccoy mean green may be another one to try also based on the reviews I read about it.
  14. I'm looking for the best line for spinning gear only not interested in braid. I'm gonna try the Yozuri hybrid. Also looking at trying the McCoy mean green too.
  15. From what I understand regular in Japanese rods is more like a moderate action in American rods.
  16. You wouldn't want the regular blank on the Tatula anyway. You'd want the Fast action. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Daiwa-TAT711MHXB-Tatula-Rods-B-Cast/36009105
  17. What about the St Croix Avid Neo 7'1 from the St Croix website. It's basically the same as Rage. http://stcroixrods.com/shop/freshwater/avid-neo-casting-rods/ Others had reported on here calling St Croix and getting 2 poles for around $100 or so.
  18. Personally I would pick the 7'2" for the given applications you mention.
  19. What's the other rod? I only see one mentioned. Never mind I see it in your tags above. Yes it looks like are exactly the same except 1" different size.
  20. Just bought Yozuri hybrid 10 lb for my cranking rods. I also bought a spool of 6 pound test in the regular and Ultra soft for my spinning rods. No chance to use it yet.
  21. Impressive but I wouldn't want to pay for that order.
  22. Brother we live parallel lives besides our NRX's. I just bought 3 different spools of Yozuri hybrid. Trying the regular and ultra soft. I went 10 pound for my casting reels and 6 for my spinning gear. But also it depends on the sale. Fishing St Clair I think there are some days I could catch them on anchor rope and others I feel I need 4 pound test. Leave yourself options. If you like braid have most of your rods with that. For those tough bite days break out your fluor and hybrid line.
  23. Bob you missed out on your NRX. I bought one the weekend of the Classic off TW normally went for $550 got it for $327. I figure I could use it for a season and if I didn't like it sell it and break even.
  24. I'm sure people have lots of recommendations. How much are you willing to spend? For a CB rod let me start by recommending the Dobyns Fury 705CB. It's pretty typically $109 but you can snag it for $25 less at a few places by signing up for their mailing list.
