  1. Sorry I wasn't very clear in my post. I was talking about rods
  2. Anyone own both of these or even had a chance to handle both of these rods? Just curious if the XT is in the same class as the regular Tatula. Thanks.
  3. I sent you a message.
  4. Does anyone have this rod? And is this a good choice as a frog rod? I already own a 7'6" Veritas MH should I just stick to that rod as a dedicated frog rod? I was hoping it might double as an A rig rod also. Thanks.
  5. I bought 3 this offseason without owning 1 prior. Great reels!
  6. There really is no right or wrong answer. Just when you think you have it all figured out the fish let you know that you don't Trial and error like mentioned above.
  7. I'd urge you to stick with it as this was the first fish I caught on a Ned rig last Friday and I have no clue what I'm doing. Big fish of the day it went 4-9.
  8. I just ordered 2. Gonna give them a shot.
  9. Maybe contact the manufacturer, explain your issue and maybe they will send you out some new Kermits.
  10. Been eyeballing some frogs this guy gets solid reviews. Thoughts on this frog? And what's the difference between this and the Poppin' Phat Frog? Anybody like this one better?
  11. What are you looking for a spinning or casting rod? How do you like to fish moving baits like crankbaits and spinnerbaits or are you more into finesse fishing? Answering these questions will help others give you more detailed answers. A couple of good options to start would be the Mojo bass rod and a Dobyns Fury.
  12. I looked around on Ebay for a few minutes and though the Rocket has an MSRP of $299.99 you can find it for around $200. The Daiwa Zillion also has a 8:1 and 9:1 gear ratio option for $200.
  13. Agree. If it doesn't work for you sell it for $150 and find something that does.
  14. I know this is a pretty subjective topic but what do you guys think is the most sensitive spinning rod for bottom techniques such as dragging tubes. Is it the G Loomis NRX? What do you think?
  15. I bought one. It seems like a nice reel but I haven't had it out on the water yet. The handle is more ball or oval shaped which was a little weird to me but all in all nice reel. The Shimano Sahara would be in a similar price range if you wanted something to compare it to.
  16. I think it depends on your water clarity to begin with. Being up here in Michigan and having ultra clear water I would not throw a jerkbait in dirty water. But if your water is already tinted to begin with it may not matter to the fish. For a jerkbait to be most efficient fish should be able to see it effectively and that has different meanings depending on where you live.
  17. I just bought 2 NRX 872s to me it's the perfect size rod but to each their own. You're likely probably looking at the 842, 852 or 872 though.
  18. It went from 48 on Friday to 58 on Monday. It was 80 on Monday which is about 20 degrees above normal. Temps have stabilized so water temps should probably be dropping a bit.
  19. Long rods are good for long distance casts to not spook fish in clear water. I think a longer rod gives you more shock absorption for runs under the boat. To me the 7'3" and 7'4" are the perfect length.
  20. This guy I caught on a TD Vibration lipless crank. Pretty heavy I'm guessing 5/8. But then last night I threw a lighter Bandit 200 and it cast it a good distance.
  21. They seem to run heavier than their rating. I thought at first that the medium was going to be too light for heavier cranks but so far I think it's perfect. Maybe the medium would have been a better fit for you? I know mediums and jig fishing usually doesn't go hand in hand. I hope the new reel works out better for you. I have mine paired with a Tatula 100 and though it's a bit on the heavy side it casts a mile.
  22. I bought many rods this offseason including 2 NRX but the surprise of the bunch to me so far has been the Daiwa Zillion. I bought a 7'7" medium regular action crankbait rod and I really like. For as big as it is its still light. You feel every little tick in the water. I'm kinda disappointed I didn't invest in any Tatula rods as for the most part the reviews said they were as good as the Zillion with lesser components and not as good of a warranty.
  23. I'll assume your talking to me because his cat is ugly the zman trd worms. And I think the color was either copper craw or something with money in it.
