  1. So I was just reading about Scott Martin's win on the FLW tour Sunday. Apparently he was using a Bomber Long A wake bait. Megabass, Duo Realis forget it about it!! You need Smithwick Rogues and Bomber Long A's. What is old is new again
  2. Sounds like decent frogging line.
  3. This article says Lucky Craft 128 pointer. http://www.westernbass.com/article/murray-slams-door-his-first-bassmaster-elite-series-victory-toledo-bend
  4. Pink flukes for smallmouth bass for sure!
  5. Congratulations nice job. Now who called the chatterbait?! Scroll up a little if you need a reminder
  6. Reins Bubbling shaker in either 5" or 7". Yamamoto cut tail worm.
  7. The only thing that has changed is the fishing industry. Now you have to have a rod and reel for every method. If your old stuff works I wouldn't hesitate to fish it and add a new rod/reel in each season or as you can afford. Welcome back!
  8. I hope the OP listens to these reviews. Sometimes people get locked into certain choices when there are better for less. Why pay retail?
  9. Senkos have one of my main baits over the past decade. I'm a tournament guy too. I'll have to say those conditions you are describing don't set up well for good senko days. I would concentrate on lures that give off vibration like spinnerbait, chatterbait, crankbait, even the thumping tail of a Keitech. I've watched some FLW events on the Potomac and the fish seem to like the chatterbait well over there. For a more subtle presentation keep in mind a grub on a jighead.
  10. Sportsman's Outfitters Daiwa Tatula 7'4" heavy for $110 shipped.
  11. Yah I think sometimes we are guilty of the hype of having to throw the latest and greatest or most expensive when ole' faithful will produce just as well if not better like you proved.
  12. Just bought another Duo off Ebay today, now I have a 100, 110 and 120 to try for this year.
  13. Thanks for your point of view. My only hesitation is that I fish musky infested waters. If I can get them on sale I think I'll grab a couple nice colors like you suggested.
  14. Yep my last 3 lure purchases have all been Duo Real is lures I got a 100, 120 and 68 lipless.
  15. I second the Costas with the sunrise lens. Awesome for early and late as mentioned and work great for low light all day. I also have Costa amber and the Wiley X green shades. The Costas with the sunrise lens are my favorite.
  16. Throw a spinnerbait that gives off some thump. I fished in Michigan twice last Saturday couldn't get bit. I threw a Ned rig and a Keitech fat impact. Hopefully your luck is better.
  17. Oh no I see Yamamoto is making a Neko worm for sale on Tackle warehouse now.
  18. What are the Red Eye Shad must have colors?
  19. I bought some of the swamp movers too. They have a bigger profile but not as much action as the shakers. I've bought a lot of things lately. I'm thinking that I might have a problem
  20. It's a great drop shot lure isn't it? I bought some of the 5" and 7" I want to try on a Neko. Looks good in the tub test
  21. Second the Reins Bubbling shaker on a drop shot or neko rig. I want to eat it!
  22. Same topic as last week I used for jerkbaits for lipless cranks. For me value is the XR50's and for production the Jackall TN60's. What do you guys say?
  23. I'd say 1/2oz or more. I liked the 5/8oz Xcalibur XR50's before they were bought out.
  24. If you sign up for the mailing list at American Legacy fishing you get a $25 coupon. You still have to pay shipping but I think a new one was like $94 or $97. Shake the couch cushions and return some bottles.
  25. I saw that you could use one of those CPS screw pins and attach a treble hook to the bottom of the swimbait like that. I have not tried it yet to see if it's possible.
