  1. I have caught far more fish on a Zoom Super Fluke than a MB and LC jerkbait combined.
  2. Listen to what fishnkamp has to say. This information is based on years of experience.
  3. Casting-Daiwa Tatula CT/Dobyns Fury Spinning- Pfluger President with any $100 rod and your set for under $400
  4. There is no 873 unless you are talking about a spinning rod. I think you want the 895 in either the GLX or NRX.
  5. The top picture is sweet looking with the fog coming off the water. Fishing in Michigan I can definitely relate to that imagery.
  6. I think it was thru May. Keep an eye out next year.
  7. Do you use the 90° or 60° eyelets on the tube jigs with that?
  8. Just occasionally shake your rod tip without lifting the weight off the bottom. You shouldn't have to work it much at all.
  9. Trd worm, tube Dang I went right to TW and had to get me some of those. Hopefully you get a cut of the action
  10. This will be my first time. One month until the tournament, can't wait!!
  11. KVD + catching monster bass = monster sales. The winning lure could have been a chicken McNugget they would have been sold out on TW
  12. I don't know if it's me or if I just haven't developed a proper appreciation but I really don't have much interest in a custom rod. Maybe I will one day.
  13. I'm wondering if it would be worth stepping into that rod for the blank alone or do you need to have the whole package (components)? Because I'm not dropping $500+. Maybe the XT on sale
  14. Why does the Daiwa Steez XT sell for $200+ cheaper than the other Steez versions? Are the components worth that much more on the other rods? Anybody own one in the spinning rod version? The 1/64 to 1/4 rod rating is amazing on the low end. I'd be curious to what others think about this rod. Thanks.
  15. I am curious to hear any updates you have on this rod. I think I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to pick one up.
  16. I don't remember when you could first apply but I'd say I signed up a month or two after you could. I'd say there would probably be more interest to Marshal the Bassmaster Classic. I think for a normal event if you sign up the first day you can without Lifetime privileges you will still easily make top 50 and get 3 days.
  17. Okay here's the skinny. Sign up as soon as you can. If you do that you will likely get 3 days of being a Marshal. I wish I knew that as it doesn't cost anything more. I'm guaranteed 2 days on St Clair in August but I'm like #63 so I would need 12 people to say no to Saturday to make day 3. So that's my advice to you sign up as soon as you can and you'll get 3 days. No need to be a Life bass member.
  18. I'll further expand, Shimano Stradic in the 2500 size.
  19. NRX 842c MBR is on sale at American Legacy Fishing for anyone looking for that model.
  20. If you can find an application for that rod that is a good price. Personally I like rods over 7' as my DS rod.
  21. Those rods spoil you. You don't realize how much better they are until after fishing a NRX for a while and you switch back to one of those $60 to $100 rods it will make you want to throw them in the trash.
  22. I like the 1/10th with the finesse worm. Perfect size in mind.
  23. I don't know but I have a frog rod that I'm using for flipping on Saturday for a tournament. I suppose if a frog rod makes a good flipping rod then it should work the other way too right?!
  24. That's a cool program. However you did indicate up to $90 per rod. Let us know after you've returned them how good they were about valuing the rods. Personally I've have one customer service experience with them and it wasn't to my satisfaction but that's not what this post is about. Congratulations on your upgrades.
