  1. This is from our Tournament rules TOURNAMENT WEIGH-IN Only fresh caught largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass are allowed. A maximum of five bass per contestant will be recorded and they must measure a minimum of 11 inches each. Rounding up from less than the minimum to meet the minimum is not acceptable. Measurements will be in whole inch and ¼-inch increments, rounding up to the next ¼-inch if measurement falls in between ¼-inch increment. The boater is responsible for providing a measuring rule that measures in ¼-inch increments. Contestants will record their catch by completing a scorecard provided by the TD. Both contestants must measure fish jointly and agree on the length of each fish. All bass will be measured with mouth closed and tail pinched. Contestants are responsible for their catch being correctly recorded and shall turn in the completed scorecard with measurements to the TD. The TD will use a conversion chart to assign a weight to all qualifying bass. Bottom line the bass are returned to the water after they are measured. Also, allows including all bass over the minimum even if the lake has a slot limit since the bass are returned after they are measured.
  2. Our club does 100% paper tournaments and have been for over 6 years. We have 15 tournaments per year. No problems system works great. We have a random draw for partners but if a boater ends up without a partner he has to have his fish measurement witnessed by another tournament participant. So he has to bring his fish in and that can be a dis advantage if he is on a lake with a slot limit.
  3. Anyone fishing lake Ouachita and catching any? Any suggestions went last Friday got zip.
  4. I just installed a Humminbird 585c at the front of my boat with transducer on the trolling motor. What is the best setup (ie chart speed, sensitivity, etc.)
  5. I ave used Vanish, Transition, P-Line Floru, Seaguar Invizx and Berkley Trilene Fluorocarbon. I had nothing but problems with Vanish and Transition The Seaquar and Trilene Floro are great don't think you could go wrong with either. I have started using the Trilene more often because it comes in green, not just clear, and I prefer green.
  6. You might check the Arkansas Game & Fish web site they post weekly fishing reports for most of the lakes in the state including Greeson. I saw that they found a 6+ caret and a couple 3+ caret diamonds at the mine last year. Good Luck
  7. I wear the Muck boot works great for me Cabela's and Bass Pro sell it.
  8. I use the Seaguar INVIZX and have no complaints. I tried Vanish but had problems with it breaking. Just spooled one reel with Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon Professional Grade and have had no problems with it and I like that it comes in a green tint color.
  9. Fishing has been good on Ouachita and Hamilton the last week. Several 8+Pound bass with lipless crank baits and jigs fish on grass edge.
