  3. Welcome, from a Northwest Florida Bass Fisherman.
  4. I'd rather shop at a local shop, but, alas, there are no local freshwater shops near me. I've often thought about opening up a shop, but I don't even know where to begin...
  5. So, I live in the Florida Panhandle, and I do a lot of saltwater fishing, along with the bass fishing that I do. My question to you guys is this... I'm looking at trying to find a boat in the near future that I can do both out of... and the one that really has my eye is the G3 Bay 20 DLX, and do you guys think a boat like this can do this? My concern is storage. None of the bay boats I've looked at really have a lot of it. I'm determined that the boat is aluminum; I don't want to have to buy a new truck to haul the thing... Any input y'all have would be much appreciated.
  6. thanks for the tips bro... ill check it out. see if i can dig up any info
  7. I've fished a lot of the ponds on Eglin, with very little success when it comes to bream and crappie... any tips? What lakes in Crestview? Besides Twin Hills, that is
  8. Hey guys, I'm looking into this for a very good friend of mine. Anyone know of any ponds in Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, or Walton county, Florida, that He can take is young son (who obviously doesn't have the longest length of patience) to catch a few fish, without the need of a boat to catch them...
  9. Thanks. I just recently found BR's youtube channel. thanks for the link though.
  10. Hey, I appreciate the tips. Any and all are welcome. I fortunately have a pool that I have been practicing flipping and pitching in, and I can practice skipping, too. I'm just not sure about the technique. Do you know of any videos that I can check out that might show that technique good? I'm just now getting into jigs, and not many available locally... I went to Bass Pro, but the one here in Destin focuses more on saltwater fishing than fresh... They mostly had football jigs, and a couple of small swimming jigs... Planned on checking out Tackle Warehouse for other jig types. I appreciate your help, Nitro.
  11. I'm in Crestview, about 2 hours west of Tallahassee on I-10. I have several friends in Tally. I pretended to be a FSU student there for a year. lol
  12. I can't even barely pitch, much less skip them... i'd love to be able to skip some of the docks and whatnot around here. I've seen HUGE toads hangin out under docks, right next to absolutely slab crappie. I'd love to be able to skip up under and really be able to present baits right in front of them.
  13. Dreamstrike? please excuse my ignorance... I've never heard of it. Yeah, I went out today... workin a small jig... got bumped a couple times, but, they were so light that I thought they were just the jig draggin off grass at first.
  14. I'd worry more about the water mocassins than the gators.
  15. I'm from Crestview, and yeah, the fishin has been killing me... rather, the lack of fishing. I'm ready to hit it... but, man, its so hard to get a bite... any thoughts about what i can do? I have a distinct lack of a boat, however...
