  1. 112 Fortrex, (2) Helix 10SI, 250 verado, stereo, that's all that I remember. I thought $20K over my 1875 for 2' and 50hp was a bit much.
  2. One showed up at my local dealer with a 250 verado on it. $64K!
  3. A few more pics. The console arrived and transducer location. The 21 pitch tempest plus wasn't enough, it would easily run into the rev limiter. I have a 22 tempest plus now, 3 times a charm. I hope
  4. 23" tempest plus. At 5600rpm I'm turning 56mph. If I drop a pitch and get the rpms up I think 58-60 is reasonable. It's very stable and the holeshot is impressive to say the least. I can take a pic of the transducer placement to save some trial and error for you. I adjusted them this morning after my time on the water yesterday. They read perfect now.
  5. The factory Lund cover connects to the back of the bow. The fortrex is too long and too low to allow this. Even if you could attach the cover the fortrex would rub on the cover. I'm just going to have a cover made that goes over the trolling motor and is notched out for the talons. The talons needed the 6" riser bracket to clear with the tilt brackets. The next issue to resolve is I may need a different prop, unless the verado needs a bit of time to loosen up. I have 3 hrs on it and I can only get 5600rpms out of the motor with an "empty" boat. I should be at the high end of the max window so when loaded it's still in the range. Mercury states 5800-6400 rpm. Anyone with a L4 verado have any input on this?
  6. The boat is home! Saturday it gets wet. 2 things for any prospective buyers. The second console is on back order from the manufacturer and if you get the fortrex the Lund cover will NOT fit. I have to get a custom cover made. I would post pictures but it says they are too large?
  7. Mine is at the dealer now getting rigged! Hopefully I can get on the water next weekend.
  8. I ordered from MW Marine, they are a couple miles from my house (which proved to be dangerous). As of right now I'm at $43,000 with all the extras. 200 verado, smartcraft rigging, 2 10' talons, 2 helix SI , 112 fortrex, 360 imaging, deluxe trailer, cover, extra bike seat, second console, AGM start battery, 4 bank charger.
  9. Thank you for taking the time to post the pics, I appreciate it! Now I have 6ish weeks to get the old one gone. I think the quick disconnect will be the way to go for me. I travel with the boat a bit so it would be nice to disconnect for piece of mind. I ordered matching locks for the remainder of the storage that isn't lockable. I have a prestige custom trailer under my current Lund, it's been flawless for the past 10 years. I hope the "deluxe" Lund trailer holds up well as it doesn't look as well made.
  10. Perfect! Do you have the tilt brackets? I'm not sure if they are worth the $$$. Thanks!
  11. I am very excited. The dealer called me this morning, Mercury issued a bulletin. Use of any bracket that uses the mounting bolts for the motor will void the engine warranty, so no "sandwich" brackets for mounting the talons. Not a big deal because they can mount directly to the transom. I just would prefer to limit the amount of holes in the transom. I hope a solution is in the works for the fiberglass boat guys.
  12. The order was submitted Saturday for a 1875 pro v bass xs. The dealer told me 6 weeks. Dual console, deluxe trailer, fortrex 112, (2) helix 10si, and (2) 10' talon, 200 verado. I was originally going to wait a few months but between the quoted price and the additional $900 Lund cash (expired 1/31) I pulled the trigger. It can't come soon enough!!!!!
  13. You have me second guessing my choice. I've had a 4 stroke efi 60hp for the last 10 years. I was happy with the smooth quiet idle. A lot of lakes around me have a long stretch of no wake so it's nice to have the quiet engine. I'm really more concerned with reliability then the performance aspect. I can always prop it for a better hole shot if need be. So with reliability as the main focus what would everyone choose? How much louder is the pro xs at idle and mid range than the verado? Thanks!
  14. Unless you are looking to have your dealer install the verado pro, Lund only lists the 4 cylinder verado as an option. The i4 verado is only 510 lbs. quite a difference from the PRO. I ordered a pro v bass xs as well with this engine option.
