  1. When they try to sell time shares to me I just say...I have bought one everytime I been in here and don't have the extra change today. They will get the message.
  2. I am going to have to agree on this. If you are really planning on painting your own cranks, buy a good Iwata or a brush equal to it. If you don't you are wasting your money and time.
  3. CrawBooger
  4. Everyone has their favorite. I am partial to the 7" Berkley (hard to find) in blue fleck. Do not like the Gulp For some odd reason the 7" seem to be only available at BPS.
  5. Try mixing it on a flat surface. I use freezer paper, the slick side is great. Just tape the 4 corners down and mix. No bubbles Sometimes what works the best and you have used the most is hard to beat. I have tried a lot of different ones but always come back to Devcon
  6. Great job Marty. BTW, I have won 2 tournaments on your cranks...
  7. I am trying to find some Rippler Jigs or someone that knows where I can get the rattle system that they used. I can find all kinds of rattles but not the Rattleleg system that Rippler used. Their website and phone is no longer in service. They are from North Carolina. Anyone have any info? Thanks, Jim
  8. Any of you guys know if Rippler Jigs are still in business? They were in N.C. around Charlotte I think. Their phone number is no longer good. They had a rattle system that no one else has duplicated.
  9. BigM my friend, you have done it again. Excellent!!!
  10. That's about the best sales pitch I have heard in awhile ;D ;D
  11. I can vouch for that bait BigM..It is easier to pull than a dd22 and is a fish catcher. Thumbs up Marty ps...if they only knew
  12. I like the Owner shakey head and I use Jackall flickshake worms. Try the bluegill Jackall, bass can't resist them.
  13. Get the net ready
  14. Those are VMC Barbarian 2X hooks size 4.
  15. SENKOSAM you hit the nail on the head. A very good and educational read. Through my years of fishing I have found that nice colors attract fishermen. Great action attracts fish. I am not so much into color of a worm or lizard. The person holding the rod is responsible for making the lure attractive. Some crankbaits get more attention from bass than other crankbaits of the same size and color. Therefore the process of making the crankbait is where the catching factor comes in. I will always believe some baits have that special movement or viberation that stands out and draws attention.
  16. real nice bigM. those square bills are killers
  17. I didn't build the balsa bait..i'm not allowed to say who did ....I just start painting and make it up as I go along.
  18. This one hunts and brings em' home
  19. very nice and clean look ...great job
  20. crawdad colors in jigs, green pumpkin and bluefleck in worms and just about any thing in crankbaits [edit]PM sent to you Jim[/edit]
  21. manny, I don't have a name for the combination. It's just something I put together as I go along. I painted another similar to it and got it took away at about 25 foot deep so I thought I better do another. Lucky I had extra. [edit]PM sent to you Jim[/edit]
  22. This bait does a slight color change
  23. I use Createx. What colors do I mix to get the blush color you see on the bottom of some lures like Lucky Craft.
