  1. ive seen posts like this but this one is much gooder.
  2. only problem would be with the braid is that its so supple that it often wraps around the treble hooks. a leader would solve that issue.
  3. I found a Castaic Duckett buzzbait early in the year and it brought me some real quality hogs. always swam straight and i will be picking up more. also on ebay theres a seller named hunter creek that makes a very nice buzz bait that will ship it to your door for under $5. caught plenty of big bass including a 5lber a few days ago.
  4. the scale read 5.0 on the dot so it is what it is. anytime the scale reads a 5 as its first number ill never be disappointed at a fish i caught.
  5. decided to take a few casts after work and got this 5lb on a black buzzbait on the second cast.
  6. thats a monster.
  7. what hooks do yall recommend with these frogs? im looking to pick some up.
  8. Ive had solid catches since i got my slayer 10 but they were in NY. this is my first decent sized catch thats local to me. on a black buzz bait.
  9. try using the app fish brain. its helped me find a lot of good spots.
  10. what do you mean cant get frog bites going? have you tried different types of frogs with varying types of retrieves?
  11. Didnt try it but i was looking at it very closely when i was shopping for a pedal drive. hard to beat the cost and ive seen some positive reviews. that said i bought a used slayer 10 because it was around the same price and was lighter for me to car top.
  12. too bad youre probably back. i know one small pond around there.
  13. its nice until a 3 year old bass boat rolls up and you realize you paid more for yours.
  14. i saw a video on the new jackall kaera frog which has a hole in the back inbetween the tails that drains out when you cast.
  15. found this buzzbait a few months ago and i lost it last weekend. caught plenty of bass on and would love to replace it. seems like a war eagle head but the blades and skirt makes me think maybe not. anyone know?
  16. maybe adjusting the brakes would be a better solution in my opinion.
  17. seems for me, the smaller the bass the lower the ratio. i dont get really frustrated in missed hook ups because i see theyre mostly under 1 lbs.
  18. care to spill the beans on that body of water?
  19. thats a horrible story to read.
  20. last night around 10 pm i had an epic 30 minutes with a black buzz bait.
  21. i know its not a frog imitation but the popping perch has been fun to use and ive gotten good results. too bad the tail part gets torn easy.
  22. had to get my wife to get this one out. shes good at stuff like that.
  23. i used the 130 almost exclusively for 4 months straight so i know its power. just saying i prefer a buzz bait because i can fish in more situations where i wont get hung up on stuff like laydowns and sparse vegetation where i do fish a lot. admittedly, if i had better aim i would fish it over the same situations but i find the buzz bait more forgiving.
  24. im sorry to ask a question here but since this is about buzzbaits, can anyone tell me what brand this is? i found it one night and tied it on the next day and its been lights out for the bass.
