  1. what type of lure was he using
  2. If youre looking for alternative to the chatterbait freedom is the Pepper Custom Baits Rumbler. it uses a wide gap hook so you can hook the trailer weedless.
  3. thats sweet, are they reusable? never mind i saw the recharge kit! do they fit in a rod holder?
  4. thats sucks man. had it last year and it was a nightmare week for me. if i had it again id probably buy some illegal narcotics and try to knock myself into silly land for as long as i was sick.
  5. well its almost like a buzz bait but the plus sides is that the hook up ratio is much better since it uses treble hooks and secondly you can retrieve it the slowest of speeds or even kill it where a buzzbait must be retrieved at a certain speed or else it will sink.
  6. Ive given up throwing my Shine Glide due to it helicoptering too much on casts. is there a way to prevent that from happening?
  7. I had one that ive used. ive had success in them but paddling into the wind was very hard. anchoring is a must when tossing a heavier lure or else a 130 plopper will basically tow you around.
  8. I plan on using a mono leader for my poppers. braid is so supple it gets easily wrapped around the treble hooks on a cast.
  9. what situation would you be in where you think a mirage drive would be that much more superior?
  10. Its 2018 and the competition has caught up with a lower price tags for pedal driven kayaks. Pedal driven units that all have hands free instant reverse. Native has a wide variety of pedal driven kayaks all are priced lower than the PA 14. I believe the Titan series has horizontal rod storage. Ive dealt with rods placed vertically behind my seat on my slayer and rarely has it been an issue with me hitting them on casts. where it would help me is when im going into crazy tight places and low tunnels. Not saying the horizontal storage isnt better but its not deal breaker in my opinion. BTW my Slayer 10 weighs almost half the weight of the PA14. Weight was one of the bigger factors in my purchase. to be able to toss my kayak on my roof by myself with ease was a must. If I had to get trailer for a kayak i would of just gotten a boat. Not saying the Perception Pilot is on par with the PA's fit and finish but its a $1700 pedal powered kayak! Old town has one thats around $2700 and theres a few more that im sure is already for sale or will be in the very near future. Good luck whatever you choose and i hope my post helped.
  11. Strike king burner spinnerbait
  12. if im looking for specific answers to a technique i'll usually enter the topic name followed by KVD.
  13. yes i do and ive switched out the skirts and replaced them with strike kings skirt that i got from the tw black friday sale. it looks like a decent looking spinner bait that cost less than $2.50 if you include a trailer hook.
  14. I would get the Hobie, yeah its way more expensive but when youre on a big body of water and have to travel over a mile and the winds in your face youre going to wish your legs were doing the work.
  15. I was kinda was in your shoes but at the time my choices were the PA12 vs Slayer 10. I picked the Slayer 10 because of the price, weight and the instant reverse. And from what i understand the Titan is beefier version of the Slayer so its safe to assume its going to be a fantastic fishing machine. i wouldnt hesitate to buy it with out test driving it. and you mentioned about a rhino hitch mount. i dont think that will be necessary. what i do is i lay the front of my kayak on my trunk and get behind it and push it on to the rack.
  16. Tell us some adventures you guys had and/or some old fishing pictures of you guys if possible.
  17. i have 2 Daiwa Arditos. theyre awesome rods but theres no denying that they are heavier than my other one piece sticks.
  18. For me, I used Youtube videos on the kayak i wanted. i picked the slayer 10 because it had the pedal propulsion and was compact and relatively light for that type of kayak.
  19. Its crazy how much those original wiggle warts go for. It kind of makes me want to buy one, even with the high prices just to see what the craze is all about.
  20. just want to add ive heard brett hite saying a mh glass rod is his choice for a chatterbait. ive never tried it on that type of rod before so i dont know how good it works.
  21. https://www.olukai.com/eleu-trainer.html?color=black-black i wear these kayaking. they dry easy and have good soles.
  22. theyre just on sale. they had the same deal with the same items last year.
