  1. If money is that tight then fuego. Maybe look into the tatula 100. its smaller, lighter and very comfortable to use and it just a few dollars more than the CT. Ebay is a good place where you can find some good deals on either reels.
  2. Ive abandoned my black double Colorado spinnerbait for the snakehead chatterbait. I fish places that has that muck and the blades would get fouled up on it. the chatterbait with the guards seem to come out cleaner so its been my go to for a few years now.
  3. yeah but like i said some places that have exclusions but still give the sale price but cannot advertise. and i contacted them and if you call or message them about a product they will give you the discount. too bad they dont have any new zillions in stock.
  4. are the exclusions included after check out like tw or are they really not discounted
  5. Saw these at at my local shop and was handling them. they all felt really nice but didnt know the differences in their line up to pick one up on the spot. The elite and the Icon rods were the same price so that threw me off a little bit.
  6. Not saying im loaded but if I really wanted a reel Id buy it. So if I had this choice Id go with something historical like a reel that caught the world record biggest bass or a bassmaster classic used winning reel.
  7. TW has a Daiwa DX composite Heavy rod with a nice soft tip thats made for chatterbaits. Its been doing a great job for me this season. Got it for a nice deal on black friday as they've been discounting it heavily for around $80. Its a homage to the Evergreen Leopard which eventually evolved for the combat stick. Previous seasons Ive used the Dobyns Fury 704 which also did a nice job.
  8. Welcome dude. My in laws live by Kensico reservoir and ive made some attempts at it from the bank but never caught anything. Theres a small lake called silver lake near there that ive caught some quality bass.
  9. One thing I love about it is how it never floods. Every hour or so I squeeze it to see if any water comes out and its always empty. The body is pretty durable, had some snakeheads chomp it and its still working like a champ. Casts a mile and the action is good. Had it tied on since last season and I have no plans on using anything else.
  10. i just keep my rod tip high and a faster retrieve. If I feel its not high enough i just pop it up higher and go from there.
  11. Been using 6.3 for a few years for chatterbaits and I feel that in situations where I rip it out of grass it takes too much effort to pick up the slack line. Has anyone switched from 6.x to a 7.X ratio for chatterbaits and felt it was better suited for the job?
  12. I recently watched a video on the subject of ned rigs and the guy, i think David Dunleavy, says he wont throw it because it gut hooks too many fish.
  13. Id hate to be a small brick and mortar business owner or worker that has to clean every pair of sunglasses you try on only for you to give money elsewhere.
  14. Work and family life has stopped me from taking my kayak out this year. Bank fishing wise its been okay. nothing to really brag about so far. spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are all ive been using.
  15. I try to put a mono leader. nothing drives me batty more than making that perfect cast in that perfect spot only to get ruined by my braid getting caught up in the front trebles.
  16. went bank fishing my local pond the other day and was catching the snot out of them on the crosseye chatterbait. then made one cast that hooked on a buzzbait that was connected to some line that broke off on a tree limb. ended up breaking my line from that. That left a real sour taste. I wont even fish that bank spot now even knowing fish are there.
  17. Not really. I mean besides succumbing to a disease that youve been suffering for years, downing is one of scariest things to die from in my opinion.
  18. Those are for peasants on welfare. I only wear Daiwa Pier39 or else I wont leave my house. https://hypebeast.com/2020/2/daiwa-pier39-spring-summer-2020-collection-lookbook
  19. Congrats! I wish I took the time to measure mine. I was so exhausted from the whole ordeal and I felt pity on the fish for the long battle that I only took a few pictures and released her.
  20. One thing im super jealous about on the PA is the double steering control. having the steering on my left is a pain when holding a baitcaster on the same side. If weight didnt matter and if i didnt have to car top id switch up.
  21. If you need one bad and quick the Walmart $1 spinner baits work. They have them in Colorado blades. Theyre 1/4oz and pretty compact.
  22. Id probably faint or poop in my pants if I had that on my line.
  23. Im in Philly but I fish out of my kayak in south jersey. I didnt fish much there this past season as i concentrated my efforts on catching my pb at Nockamixion. I only fished it a handful of times but I really enjoyed fishing Lenape.
