  1. like 5 in 4 years. 3 from doing stupid stuff like trying to unsnag a lure or closing a window on it and the others were from fishing abuse like boat flipping big fish in a kayak. Daiwa has been amazing with how they replaced all of them with little or no questions asked. its part of the reason im brand loyal to them to a degree.
  2. made a quick stop by my local hole and pulled out this 4.7 lber on my second cast using a top toad.
  3. he was great in Boogie Nights
  4. Philly guy here, welcome! Hows Marsh been treating you? I dont think i even been there this year yet.
  5. thanks man. seems like im the only one reporting in here. not posting much here anymore? i havent been there in a bit. I was at alloway today and lost a decent one on a neko rig. saw some guy land a 5 there and promptly lost another seemingly decent one in the brush. i want to try rainbow lake, especially with all those nice ones you posted from there but my buddy wants to go to DOD, i hate that place.
  6. yah call diawa they might even just send it to you for free.
  7. went up to the Poconos for a few days and caught my first popmax bass. btw the stock hooks are so soft. this guy bent out the front trebles pretty good.
  8. Hey, i stumbled across this thread while staying up near arrow head lakes in the poconos. after a few days of so so fishing at the arrow head i found Bradys lake on the map and read this thread and decided to check it out on my kayak. such a pretty place and the fishing was good for the 2 times i went. i caught most of my fish near the middle of the lake on the boat ramp side. caught a few decent fish on a variety of lures but the neko rig and the popper caught me the biggest. caught this on the popmax throwing to an isolated stump.
  9. crazy weigh in weights.
  10. im more fearless with a buzzbait therefore i catch more on them as well.
  11. it seemed to be. but i was in a kayak on a small body of water but it seemed to be working when i arrived to a new spot.
  12. watching live, im more excited watching this than any other fishing event. watched that 2.11 jig bite live, sweet!!! btw my work day is trashed.
  13. Last night a buddy and I picked up a few Thermocells at a hardware store and gave it a go and I cant believe i didnt try this out earlier. as a night time angler ive spent many nights ruined because of mosquitoes. no more sweating it out wearing long sleeve clothing in the hot muggy nights. even with the lotions or spray you still have them buzzing in your face and God forbid you miss one square inch on your body. ever put mosquito repellent on your face and then get sweaty? yeah fun times. people have asked me if i was on drugs because of the marks on my forearms, thats how bad it gets if you frequently fish at night. Im not sure on how it will work on breezy days but as for now this is a gods gift. im currently shopping around for the best deals on refills because im going to buy them by the truckloads.
  14. that box....great now i want one. besides being balsa what other difference would it be from the popmax?
  15. have you ever tried using a jig? i dont flip heavy cover all the time but when i do i use the hack attack jig and have never snagged/broke off in hairy lay downs.
  16. i think they sell them at wal mart. go and eyeball them up.
  17. strike king buzz king
  18. you can buy a digital scale(luggage scale) on ebay or amazon for around $10 and theyre very accurate. be prepared for a hard dose of reality when that monster you would of sworn to be 5 lbs turns out to be 3.8 lbs.
  19. whats helped me this year is being calm when the strike happens. i try to, when i see the strike, drop my rod tip down reel in the slack then crack the whip. I think those two movements gives me enough time for me to judge if the bass has taken it down or not.
  20. went to Union Lake for some summer night fishing. caught this nice 3 on a chatter bait and lost one monster on a buzzbait.
  21. im guilty of not wearing mine. next time i will.
  22. Ive been liking the jackall kaera frog a lot. walks very nicely, compact but still 1/2 in weight so it can still be used in heavy mats, has a drainage hole so im not squeezing it out every other cast and has some sexy colors.
