  1. Hot shower and bottled water. Send me my oreos and twinkies.
  2. Hold up folks, I got a formula! If you want do the Verizon check thing, I got a formula for you write on your check. ;D However, assuming they solved this, just tell them the .60 cent short is the loss they can take rather than 3.60. ;D Tell them to used four-step method to find a derivative for the following function: y=3x-2 Here what they would have to do to solve it: Step 1: F(x): 3x-2 Step 2: F(x+h): 3(x+h)-2 or 3x+3h-2 step 3: F(x+h)-F(x): 3x+3h-2-(3x-2)/H step 4: is sort of the same above but you simplified it: 3x+3h-2-3x+2/h Here you do the elimination process from algebra. -3x+3x=o...-2+2=0...Leaves you with 3h/h. or h=3. Thus the derivative of the function is H=3. Thus you pay 3.00 P.S. I'm trying brush up my calculus skills for my test next week. :-/ It going to suck.
  3. To be frank with you, I'm too scared to attempt this. I might screw it up.. My computer hasn't blew up and all the buttons seems functional. It been 24 hours since I cleaned it up..You think I got plain lucky without getting juice deep into hard drive?
  4. I learned something really interested when I was in Georgetown, Cayman Island for my senior trip...Rum Punch..
  5. I have a Dell XPS M1530..
  6. Not only we give you advice on choosing a degree, but we help you with business classes and how to catch fish.
  7. Buy you some Tropicana Peach Orchard Juice, taste it, then come back and talk to me. I used a Q-tip and cotton ball with rubbing alcohol get sticky stuff off. Everything appears normal..
  8. I was on phone with my dad and I had a peach fruit juice in my other hand. I went to set the drink on my desk, and it sort of slipped out of my hand hit the side of my desk and splatter peach fruit juice all over my $1,500 laptop!! I ran to kitchen grab some towels and cleaned it as fast as I could. Screen had a nasty streak, but I got it all off with the screen cloth. But the keyboard all the buttons seem to be functional, the computer hasn't started sparkling or caught on fire, yet.. It seems some of keys feels a little sticky, any computer specialist got some suggestions for me? I think I dodge a bullet...
  9. When I worked at K-mart, I walked into one of those things.
  10. Florida going to lose in next 3 weeks. Steve Spurrier just might beat them whenever they play. Write it down, every SEC school might lose one or two games. ;D It going to be madness!!
  11. Oh yeah, Arkansas doesn't have a defense. They just got group of guys and a coordinator that calls themselves a defense. Look at the tackling job they tried to do on Trent Richardson. Skip over to 24 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTVi1coMHO8 Edited: Look at :51 second. Julio Jones just shrugged him off. So my point is, Arkansas defense could go back to fundamental and practice tackling.
  12. I'm not talking about schedule, I'm talking about RIGHT NOW. Alabama is only team in top 3 that has a proven victory....We beat VT on neutral turf, and kept Tyrod Taylor from doing any damage..We just gave up one or two big plays. And VT just destroyed Miami, and yet we beat them..We should be ahead because we already have a proven victory unlike Florida and Texas. Polls are worthless. : I don't even care any more about the poll. Dont'a Hightower is out possible for entire season, so it time to focus on situation at hand.
  13. Alabama deserves to be ranked ahead of Texas. At least we have beaten a top 10 team, and that top 10 team is still in the top 10. : Who has Texas beaten? Texas Tech isn't that good this year so you cannot use that as an argument. Arkansas is more worthy opponent than Texas Tech. Polls are worthless and overrated. I'm jumping that bandwagon. : P.S. It was gut wrenching to see Dont'a Hightower get hurt.
  14. IMO, if you should get an associate, get accounting and work as a bookkeeper. If you want stick with management working in retail will be crappy, but if you rise to store manager you can make six-figures. I know a store manager with no degree making six-figures. I know of one with an associate I believe, and she makes 80k. There a store manager for Ingles grocery making six-figures a year and he vacation in Hawaii and drives a 2006 mustang which he bought brand new. Store manager is both a desk job and a working with your hands job. A good store manager does both, a crappy one sits behind desk and do not pay attention to their employees or what going on out on the sales floor. Believe me I know...I could write a book on crappy management from my time in retail. I worked for K-mart when I was in high school. It paid for my books, but I'm not going back into retail. Everytime I had to deal with a stupid customer, my IQ dropped. : Who ever said "the customer is always right" is full of #$%#!
  15. Thanks, Lund, I will take a look at that link.
  16. If I didn't get hire by H&R block, but I passed the exam, would it be illegal and/or unethical of me to have handful of people to pay me to do their 1040 return? I'd just used a software to file their taxes for them. lol. I'll probably wait til summer rolls around then take another look at this class. They don't offer new classes until next summer.
  17. Any of the cops good at taking airbags out of car? Caution the link above contains language that might not be suitable for children.
  18. That is not right.
  19. Is this even worth it to you guys? I search for a class near me, and the one near my home is 199.00. So basically pay 200 bucks, but whether you pass or not you are not guarantee a seasonal or part-time job with them... I was hoping maybe this could give me some taxation experience and when I apply for job after graduation or internship they see my tax preparation experience they will assume I already got my feet wet in understanding how to deal with taxes for clients.
  20. To get to that point, I have to show "clients" that I understand this crap. http://cba.ua.edu/finance/grad/tracks/FinancialRiskStrategy It kind of intimidating just reading the course description. I understand what all that stuff means, but the math models they used to price everything is pretty darn intense. :-/ You could ask me what options are and I will explain to you how they work, but if you ask me to price them and do the little details work to make up the price, yeah, I'm confused. I could probably learn that stuff if I got a good professor and study group. But I'm not sure if I want go down that road. If I do will employee you.
  21. Did you guys know HR Block offers part-time and seasonal time jobs? If you passed their 69 hour class you COULD get a part-time job with them. I thought about looking into it this summer, then next tax season it might provide me some experience dealing with tax return for my resume. I'm working on the internship requirement. I don't know if I will get one, but I'm qualify and try.
  22. This what I wanted to specialized in as a CPA. http://www.pwc.com/gx/en/consulting-services/index.jhtml It doesn't have to be with pricewaterhousecooper, but I want work in consulting. Teaching business how to survive with sound management and smart finance decision. I have this ambition of helping businesses survives. And of course offer taxes and audit services. This is my original dream. But the more I learn about banking more I get drawn in. Lol. I probably end up sticking with accounting anyhow, but banking is still trying to entice me. 8-)
  23. It depends on what type of accounting. IMO. I mean if you're a bookkeeper I can understand it being boring. Same ol' crap day after day. But as a CPA, you could audit a financial statement one day, help a client fight off the IRS the next, help a company with their captial planning and accounting system, help someone with investment and tax planning, etc. You just do different things every day. It not routine. But that also depends on whether you have your own firm with very diverse client group or you work for a large accounting firm and you are stuck auditing Exxon Mobile 5 days a week 52 weeks out of the year.
  24. I'm little uncertain now for some reason on my career choice. I'm currently accounting major, but next year I can declare it officially. I've been torn between majoring in Finance:banking, Finance:Corporate and investment, or accounting. In which later get a master of finance specializing in risk management or master of accounting. Work for a proprietary desk for a major bank or work for hedge fund. Those jobs are high skills, but a lot of fun. I'm not sure if I'm smart enough to handle all the variety of quantitative analyst skills required, but I'm sure if I'm pushed and work at it I can learn the skills. On the other hand, working as a CPA seem just as exciting and little bit stress-free. I'm not saying CPA is less complicated than money management, but it most likely a little less stressful than money managers, due to amount of risk and creative math that money managers undergo. I don't know, what you guys think? Go down the route of money management and banking or work as a CPA. I got one more year of general education then I can declare my major officially. :-/ They both seems interesting, but I don't want declare one of them as my major then realized, eh maybe I should have chose the other one..Ya know? Or I could chose accounting then had thoughts just what if I chose finance..
  25. The Iron Bowl!!!
