  1. Thanks. I'll have to check that out. I have that reel and it really is a great reel for the money.
  2. For some reason they only stole that one reel. Thanks for the suggestion. It seems that would be a safe purchase considering on how many people like them. True that, man. I was checking out the Tatula. If I get another Daiwa it would be the that reel, the Tatula CT or maybe the Fuego.
  3. So this weekend I made a dumb decision and decided to leave my rods and reels on the deck of my uncles boat overnight. I came back the next morning to find that my week old Shimano Casitas was stolen. I only had it for a week but it seemed like a pretty solid reel. I know some of you might consider it a "budget reel" but being only 14, $120 isn't cheap by any means. Well, to get to my question, I was wondering if I should just buy another casitas or maybe try out a another company. Any recommendations on reels in the $100-$150 range or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. It's a Curado 70 with a different color scheme.
  5. They're both $99.99. I have the Speed Spool LFS and have been impressed by it so far. The new Shimano Caenan seems like a nice reel. Being a Shimano reel, I'd imagine it casts better than the Lew's. The Speed Spool has 10 bearings and the Caenan only has 5. Anyone have experience with the new Shimano Caenan?
  6. The Speed Spool LFS is a great real, especially for the price point. I'd also check out the new Shimano Caenan. I handled some at the Bassmaster Classic Expo and they seem like fine reels.
  7. Both on sale for $89 on St. Croix's website. Any of you guys have experience with these rods?
  8. How did they work out?
  9. I was on youtube and came across a video by KeepingItReelFishing. In the video he tells a story about how he came across a lure that he thought was custom but then finds out that it is a company that buys unpainted Lucky Craft LC squarebills and paints them themselves. Well, I got to looking at their site and came to find out that they have the Megabass Pop Max, Megabass Vision 110, *** Lunker Frog, and Megabass Cyclone along with the Lucky Craft LC. They're pretty much buying unpainted molds, painting them, and selling them for a lot less. I'll put the link to the video below and it would be cool if you watch it and tell me what you think about it. Video:
  10. I know what you mean. I'm only a teenager so money isn't real abundant. Now, in the future I will probably do the same as you. I almost like collecting tackle as much as I like to fish.
  11. Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm slowly building my rod and reel arsenal and I'm getting a rod with a medium power and a fast action regardless. I'm going to use it as my topwater rod. Maybe throw some light jigs and light Texas rigs on it. Back to the point, I was just seeing if I could maybe get away with throwing crank baits on it as well.
  12. I've been wandering around this website for awhile now so I thought I should introduce myself. I'm a young teen angler and I could use all of the advice from more experienced guys that I could get. Thanks!
