Got one before work this morning on the big bites pumkin craw. This is becoming one of my best baits...

I run to the refrigerator every now and then...? But Im still in fair shape. I walk a lot at work and it keeps me from getting too overweight.

Ive surf fished all my life and always gone barefoot. I stepped on a crab once and he got me good. I caught him with a piece of shrimp and he was boiled later... You would think as many years as Ive gone something else would have bit me but nothing has. I did get a catfish fin all the way into my right ring finger once, but I just pulled it out and kept on fishing. My cousin got a stingray barb in his big toe once and had to go to the hospital to get it out. He Lost all the feelings in that toe permanently. I have caught a lot of fish surf fishing but the biggest was a 40 inch tarpon I caught on a finger mullet. He jumped multiple times but didnt fight anywhere near as good as a redfish that size. I hooked a huge stingray ( the size of a car hood ) a few years ago and fought it ( with my heaviest combo ) for 20-30 minutes . Had a big crowd on the beach watching, but I could never get it any closer than about 100 feet from shore before it broke the line. I dont wade inshore much- NE Florida just isnt great for wading, because of the mud and oysters everywhere. There are some decent bank spots but Im stationary for the most part at those...

Nice ! Il just had “old truck day” ? Translation : A relative borrowed my “98 dodge ram and totaled it ? So now Im truck less indefinitely. I think theres only been 1 year out of the last 36 that I havent had a truck. Im having truck withdrawals but at least I can enjoy someone elses good fortune. I like that truck in that color- just noticed one the other day around here. I love dodges but Ive kind of got the urge for a toyota this time. But at this point Id take most anything I could afford ( which aint much ) !

For me its a Cristy critter. They look great but Ive never had a bite on one. I have caught 1 fish ever on a whopper plopper, and strangely enough, it was on the first cast. I have not caught 1 fish on a jig. I know it’s probably because I dont fish them much. Same thing with a chatterbait. All I catch is clods of weeds...

Im pretty sure others have done these . I fish with a split shot weight, ( if I use any weight at all). This allows me to take it off quickly if conditions change. This came from the good ol days when I had only one bass combo. I also catch a lot of fish swimming a 5 inch senko over emerged and slightly submerged grass beds. I may have missed it , but I don’t remember seeing anyone else commenting that they do that. I am not too proud to fish live bait on bass, esp. if they arent biting artificials. I will get some big worms and fish them under a cork with a lightweight combo. I only hook the worm once through the band. It’s fun to resort to what you did when you were young sometimes...

I thought about doing trotlining for catfish, decided it wouldn’t be worth it to do part time.. An old friend still does crabbing part time. He had to take up roofing because people were robbing his traps all the time...

Google it. Call a few fish farms and ask if they know anyone that does. I have never heard of anyone . Great idea !

Not catching much???‍♂️That and losing a big fish. Even that very rarely ruins the trip... Getting a crack in my boat from top to bottom while navigating Lake George in a tournament came pretty close...

They used to sell those when the grandkids were younger. They got me good .Gave me one that tasted like old gym socks smell.

My best ever ratio was 10 per hour. It’s usually 4-5 an hour for me.

Caught several on a houdini super fluke in one of my work route ponds...

I had most of the 70 and 71 topps set. I had several Hank Aaron cards and plenty of other greats. I had them stored on a shelf and didnt think about them for a year or so... One day I felt the urge to look through them. Nearly all my best cards were gone! I hollered my middle son’s name ! Yep, he had taken them to school. His story to this day is he left them in his desk at school and they were stolen.. Doesnt ease the pain any.
