  1. November’s your best month after May. Temps have dropped enough by then to cause increased activity all day. Other than that , February - April.
  2. I have been surprisingly busy since the slow down when I started this topic. I think maybe because people are home and they are seeing the need for us. Doesn’t seem to be any fear with the new customers.
  3. Sorry to hear that @Darren. Your going on my prayer list. A little off topic, but I was on I-95 today for around 35 miles going north . I have never in my life seen so many Canadians cars. Wonder if they were asked to leave or just scared? Even saw a car from Nova scotia. Many , many from Quebec.
  4. What’s worse than that is leaving river clams ( mussels) in your trunk like I did , and forgetting about em .Very similar to this:
  5. I love me some fried squirrel!! They do take a lot of work. We can catch all the blue crabs we can eat too, but they are too much work for me unless there’s nothing else available.
  6. Thanks everyone. I’ll try the stretching first. I took a muscle relaxer last night before bed. It didn’t help the pain but I sure slept good!! I took an Advil before work and it kept the pain at bay Almost all day. Seems better now even after driving 100+ miles today .
  7. About to plant some turnips and mustard. Ive got 1/2 a freezer full of fish. I’ve got all you can eat in my lake. Bream , catfish, and if needed, bass.I can always pick some squirrels off. Trying to get more self sufficient. I never had trouble putting meat on the table but having trouble keeping the table, if you know what I mean .Hope to get get a generater this year. Trying to live on what I have. Fixing up the house takes whatever moneys left over after bills.
  8. I’m 59 , with no chronic health issues except a little lower back pain every now and then. Strangely enough, my back hasn’t hurt at all since this started.
  9. So For about 5 days now I have had severe pain right where the top of my right Leg goes into the hip. It doesn’t hurt when I’m sitting or when I’ve taken a few steps. But it’s worse when I first stand up and take a few steps. I don’t remember anything that would have caused it recently. Never hurt there before the slightest bit. It hasn’t got any better, maybe a little worse. I really don’t want to go to the doc if I can help it. Any ideas?
  10. NO. This is one ramp I was at today...
  11. NO. This is one ramp I was at today... like a Saturday.
  12. We had separate desks. They tried to keep us apart as much as possible. Didn’t help.?
  13. You must be close to my age ( 59 ) , I was just talking to a friend about that yesterday. I barely remember it, so it must have been 1st or 2nd grade.
  14. I still feel really bad about it.
  15. Had 1 little sale come in today and thankful for it. Nobody home at the other 2. Did all I could and went fishing for a little while , at this big pond . A 14 pounder was caught in it years ago . No runs , hits, or errors! At least it was a beautiful day! Thinking about applying for a part time job at Academy Sports. Do any of y’all work there? The employees I’ve met there seem to love it.
  16. Got 2 quotes lined up ?and one guy bit- but won’t get him to the boat until April.?
  17. Hahaha - now that’s funny-
  18. We have a kuerig too, hooked up to a water line. I don’t use the capsules anymore, just manually load the coffee into the cap.
  19. I do sales with commissions only pay. March and April are our biggest months. ( Lawn care -pest control)We were getting very busy until this CV scare. I have stayed moderately busy the last few days But today... nothing. I do have a few call backs to make. It stinks because I was hoping for the extra $ this season brings. Not sure how this will turn out, but I know someone that does. Is anyone else experiencing this? I think I’m going to load up my fishing stuff and go down toward the shop and find a pond to fish...How bout y’all? Please don’t let this turn political and get banned.
  20. No, he had it on the right, although it may look otherwise. I watched them playing off and on for 1/2 hour. And they weren’t competing, just taking batting practice.
  21. My favorite dog was Charlie, a black lab. He was small for a male. Rescue dog my son originally had. He tried to keep him inside because he would escape and jump over their short fence. He chewed up a lot of furniture and other things in the house, including metal Venetian blinds that had been there since the house was new( my childhood home). Joe asked me if I wanted the dog and I told him Id think about it and let him know. When I came home a few days later, He had staked the dog out on the front porch!! He had already wrapped around a tall sprinkler head and broke it off. Since I don’t like dogs in the house, he became a yard dog. The problem was, he would swim off in the lake and come back whenever he felt like it, or when he got hungry enough. The grandkids would have to hold him when I was going fishing or he would swim out and follow me. A neighbor across from me shot another neighbors dog for swimming over and getting in his yard . When he tried to catch it, it snapped at him and drew blood. He got 60,000 dollars settlement for the slight dog bite, and still shot the dog 6 times , but it lived somehow. Anyway, my dog would swim over to his house for some reason . He never shot my dog but would just open the gate and let Charlie out on the road! Nice neighbor huh? One day Charlie swam over and was chewing on and throwing around the neighbors shoes. I laughed out loud. But it wasn’t long before I found a Charlie dead outside when I went out to feed him?. I always wondered if the neighbor poisoned him. Could not afford a autopsy. He had come home one evening a few days before bleeding at the mouth, tail between his legs, head down. Like he’d been in a fight. Next day he was better so I didn’t take him to the vet. A few days later- dead. I didn’t cry but came close. All Charlie ever wanted was to be around us. Have not had the heart for another dog since. Wish I had a pic, but never took any because I didn’t know he would die suddenly like that.
  22. And bacon... I usually get a big can of Folgers classic roast or house blend or breakfast blend. All good. One cup every morning, sometimes 2 on the weekends. Never in the evenings. It may not be why, but the last time I drank caffeinated coffee in the evening was 2-3 years ago, and my heart started beating irregular for hours. Woke up the next day and it gradually subsided but scared me a little. Haven’t had but small irregularities since.
  23. I’m right handed, and played baseball that way, but could bat lefty fairly well ( only did in a game once though - flied out to right) For fishing I’ve always much preferred reeling left handed and fighting the fish right handed. My bait caster I use for spinnerbaits is right- reeling though , and it’s nearly the same to me.
  24. Hey thanks man They were fairly cheap ( Nothing like yours ) but it wouldn’t hurt to have another contact. I have a friend down your way in Osceola county that was fixing some of my old rods and reels and I’d let his kids swim in my pool. He doesn’t come up here much anymore though. You catching anything or busy with the “ crisis “ ?
