  1. I infact have both of these reels and i put them on the same rid and threw the same jerkbait and the lews wayyyy out performed.
  2. Dang good deal! If your into finding bargains look at your local academy at their discount reels. At my local academy i found a reel($169) for $66 and they claimed it was off of a combo deal but this brand doesnt make combos.
  3. Just any East Texas fisheries from the giants like Rayburn which there is already a forum for like yousaid to the smaller lakes like naconiche and kurt. Also Livingston and Conroe.

  5. I use just my normal finnese baitcasting rod/reel but the key to my wacky set up is the hook. I use a mustad ultrapoint impact weighted hook in either 1/32 or 1/16 weight depending on dept cover and fishing pressure. When the fish are real finicky and you cant catch them with a senk on this rig I switch to a zoom wat. Candy or wat. Violet trick worm.
  6. Any of yall that fish East Texas lakes and want to share some knowledge or ask for some help this is the place.
  7. Youd be missing out if you didnt get one. I got two for 40% off (only reason i got them). Anyways i got a 7' mh crankbait rod and a 7'5" heavy flipping rod. The crankbait one is great for ripping rattletraps in grass and can even handle those big deep divers. Absolutely a great but and i will be slowly but surely switching my rods to g-loomis.
  8. I just got a g-loomis E6X 7'5" heavy flipping/pitching rod (for 40% off) and it is great for the a rig. It has just enough tip to make the cast then when your retrieving it has enough power to not wear your arms out.
