I'll be in Orlando from Dec. 22nd-29th. I was looking for fishing spots around Orlando and I learned about these lakes. Anyone have any advice on fishing from the bank on any of these lakes this time of year?

This what I did to mine but it added some weight to it. Made it more comfortable for two of us to fish out of.

If it were me, 7 ft MH with a fast tip. 12lb flurocarbon line. I could throw almost every bait I have on this set up.

Anyone used both? I like my pro qualifiers but was wondering if the Lew's was any better. They are the same price range is why I picked the speed spool. I really like the description of Lew's tournament mb. Thanks for any info.

I use very cheap mono as a backer for all my reels. I use fluro for everything. I like BPS XPS fluro & viscous. I'm going to switch my jerkbait rod to mono so it helps the bait suspend. My brother in law used braid with a fluro leader on everything. He just started doing that & I'm not sure of his reasoning.

Hey guys. I'm from Norman & I used to fish with a club out of OKC. There is actually quite a few clubs from central Oklahoma. Anyway, I'm getting back into tournaments next year & I would consider starting a new club. I would definitely need some help because there is a chance my wife & I could miss a tournament & the show must go on regardless. Since my wife is my fishing partner, I will have to discuss this with her to see if she has interest in this or would prefer to join an existing club. If all of you are still interested we could have a decent amount of boats for a good start. Let me know.
