Smallmouth

The Chippewa River, Flambeau River, and Eau Claire River. 

I love the outdoors. Plain and simple. I love to hike, bike, camp, fish (obviously), walk, picnic, string up my Trek Light hammock, canoe, grill and just laze about in the Riverside park near home. All made better with my girlfriend's company.

Fishing wise, if I could only catch Smallmouth for the rest of my life, I'd be a happy man. A smallie hitting a tube or a dead sticked jerkbait is what I keep going back to the water for. Topwater ANYTHING is a blast. Smallies, pike, LMB, muskie... anything.

I'm what you could call a "finesse" angler at heart. I'll take tubes, craws, grubs and light jigs any day over most other fishing styles. I've still got my power types too, albeit lighter than most guys: topwater, spinners, shallow cranks, jerkbaits (?)

I fish out of an Old Town Osprey canoe. I'd love to have the opportunity to have a kayak and learn to fish from it someday. Until then, I canoe and beat the banks to my hearts desire!

It's winter here while I write this out, so my main pastimes include watching fishing videos online, sorting, organizing, cleaning, restocking and drooling over tackle and such. Nothing like poking the Bait Monkey and seeing what happens, right?
