  1. Lonestar - there are fish in there, bank access is not that awesome. It has alot of access for kayak or canoe and saw several. Multiple ponds, just not very walkable. Caught some dinks just casting from the cleared launch areas. I don't doubt there are some nice fish in there. Went there because we were exploring outside Richmond and I use to live in Windsor.
  2. Going to visit the park from Richmond area. Fishing from the bank 1st time at park. Any spots or lures you recommend ?
  3. In JAX 8 months - bank fishing for bass - tired of fishing the same spots Looking for someone to help me fish some spots to see what they hold - I will supply the spots and we fish them together. Have 5 spots to check out, going early or about an hour W search bait. Trying to find some places that hold trophy fish. Live off Hodges near Butler Blvd. Willing to drive 30 min to fish a spot that you know holds big fish. All catch and release, trying to find 1st Florida trophy.

  5. New to jax looking for locals who can help me start finding better water for bass. No boat just the bank. Appreciate any leads help.
  6. 1-5' Good idea to have a nice size walking bait - from time to time you will see some shad chasing on the surface Depending on how you like to fish, there are places w alot of timber and large fish. Fresh line at a minimum and consider a slightly heavier line. Junebug on plastics was a good color for me at Briery Creek. Wayne consistently catches bass there read his posts.
  7. Moving to JAX in 2 days, fishing from bank, coming from VA. Would like to locate some ponds where there are trophy fish for catch/release. Will be living 4090 Hodges Blvd 32224 - is there anyone out there who knows the local scene of ponds/retention ponds....don't want to spend 5 years figuring it out. Will be absolutely silent on whatever you show me, just want to catch some big ones to keep my mental hygiene going. Love the big bass fishing. It all starts with trophy bass water, you can't catch Toads in a garbage can.
