  1. Almost went out lastnight too. Night fishing is a blast ! I catch the most from 3-8. and for some reason, my picture wont resize - Casey
  2. Here are some things that i would try.. - Cast up stream. Bass will normally look for their food to come downstream with the water. - Use a lure that gives off good vibrations or makes a good amount of noise. Some willow spinnerbaits, jigs with rattles, etc. - I would try dark colors. in low visablility conditions bass cannot actually see the color but see the contrast of the lure. Dark makes a better outline for them. When hot, bass will tend to go deeper or stick close to cover. Try later in the day or earlier in the morning. I am no familar with the location, but these are just some things to consider. GoodLuck and lets us know how it goes !!! -Casey
  3. Although it wouldnt be exacltly easy to carve a replica, i could try.. To bad its not easier than this haha
  4. Not that i have done this before but i would believe the following would help. -Come up with a name -Have a reason and meaning behind the club -Get people to support and join your club -Appoint positions in the club such as president, vice, treasurer etc. -Arrange meets and plan events or just have get togethers for the local members TO get people to join, i think this is the perfect place to start. Also talk to other buddies and other fisherman about the club. I dont think starting a club would be any good unless you stand for something meaningful and actually be active with it. Just my 2 cents though. Other than that, goodluck ! -Casey Hay
  5. That sucks it has to be that way... thanks for your input. -Casey
  6. Around 2 years ago i hand carved a lure that to me, had every feature i wanted. I painted it and set hooks in, the only thing left to do was test it out. And that i did. I have never seen anything that looks like this topwater bait. And it works ;D!! I was thinking about showing it to a lure making company and seeing if there was any way of production. But i am not sure on how to go about it. Who to talk to, who not to talk to, and what to look for in producing a quality product. If anyone has any information to help me out, it would be greatly appricated. Thanks -Casey
  7. That sucks but a day of fishing beats a day of working any day. Nate speaks the truth ENJOY
  8. Sounds alot like the lakes nearby me, only not closed. My expectations would be in the higher levels. My reasons are, the fish havent been pressured by overloads of fishermen, they wouldnt be used to seeing the same thing being thrown at them, no disturbance of any kind by boaters and You have the whole lake to yourself !! Find a good structure based area and give it all you got! The only way to truely find out is to try it ! Then let us know how it went ;D There are some monsters just waiting to be caught ! - Casey
  9. Last year we made a 1 acera pond and stocked it this year. We stocked it with 50 largemouth, 100 perch, 100 bluegill and 1000 minnows. I have also added a total of 27 fish from other waters(mostly ponds). This includes bass, perch, bluegill and catfish. When we feed them with the pellets its like parinias eating meat . Anyway, if i go fish it before a storm the hits will be crazy and non stop. Throw a black buzzbait if there is a slight wind and little ripples over the water. The bigs ones love it. I landed a 6 lb largemouth doing this, along with many other nice bass. Live to fish, fish to live
