  1. 2004 Nitro NX882. Merc 150 opti efi. Hydrodynamics jack plate and 23p tempest. All lowrance electronics, 75lb motorguide wireless troller. 90hrs on boat and motor. First pic is my little buddy helping with "cleaning". Second pic is my fishing partner waiting for me to get the trailer to load up. Runs pretty decent. with factory setback plate and 23p apollo xhs at 5" below pad runs 60 gps with just me, a light load and 1/2 tank. Hoping for better handling and speed with tempest and jack plate at 3.5'' below pad. Not a huge boat at 18'6 but fishes pretty big and does all i need it to do!
  2. Very close to where you have been is a good place. The creek the that the ramp and bridge you referred to is called Robeson creek. It is one of the deepest creeks on the river side of the lake. That whole creek is a good spot to fish. Also, as you are headed out you will see an old road on your left, the asphalt is still visible. As you enter the main river, turn left and watch both sides of that area. A few hundred yards upstream you will see where that same road crossed the main river. It is easily seen. If you turn right out of Robeson creek, you will see a tiny island a ways down on the right. Behind it is called Stinking creek, anither good spot with a HUGE shallow flat in the very back. The kiuth of Stinking creek is reportedly an awesome crappie fishing spot as well. If you continue past the island you will pass the dam (on your left) and will come to Poe's Landing, accessed via HWY US1 . It is the only ramp on the lake im aware of that you pay to use ($3.00) which is a little annoying, however, it is almost never very crowded making it worth the 3 bucks to me. If you go left when you see the dam as if you are headed out towards the main lake there are several islands on tbe left with grass banks that usually produce.
