  1. I read he bought it for the facilities to expand building capacity?
  2. You can tell you're a noob because I wouldn't say I caught a 4.14- I would say yeah I caught a monster at LEAST a 5lbs to 10lbs. LoL nice fish
  3. I have trouble as well. Mine says only #### kb left but I have %80 left on my attachments?
  4. Took the Hobie out. Slow morning but managed one nice fish. Flipping structure head 1/2oz head with a craw.
  5. Crankbaits for the depth you're in.
  6. Been using smelly jelly lately. Hook up ratio and follow ups seem to have improved since.
  7. Owner flashy swimmer 5/0 1/4oz
  8. Depends on the lake. My lake , where the fish are at anyway, has lots of rock. I like 15lbs fluro with shakey head and a 5-7" soft plastic. 8-10lbs test line on Falcon lake will leave you heart broken.
  9. Do you have to spend it soon? Maybe something cool coming soon from icast. The new curado is coming out if you like shimano stuff.
  10. Those are awesome hats
  11. I'll trade you a whooper plooper for the camo one lol
  12. Falcon is 45min away from me. Going Wednesday. No 10lb fish yet but this year I have caught about 6 over 6lbs. Not great but considering I am new to the lake and haven't had anyone show me around I will take it.
  13. Not sure if the weights matter. Oysters are sharp and contour changes. Lots of nooks to fall in and get stuck. Maybe the long cylindrical type weight?
  14. Budget would help as far as gear.
  15. Just a couple of days ago I hooked a 10-12lbs soft shell turtle. Shakey head senko- right in the mouth. At first I felt a good thump. Set the hook- I'm like oh man it's a good one, get the net please " 10 cranks in- "ah man I don't know it feels weird " get it up to the boat, rod flexed over good and it slowly surfaces...... it was at least 25" across.
  16. I have a Phoenix 618 that I really like. Look for a used one. Lots of people get it and upgrade after a couple of years. Just another option.
  17. Getbent- sort of like catch a fish, put a bend in your rod- or if you're a potlicker........
  18. 6.5# on a h2O model M blue/char crankbait. Falcon lake.
  19. That sucks but could have happened in a boat. Keep after them.
  20. When they catch more fish than me I just tell them it was their Capt/guide and laugh it off. As long as we're having fun I don't care who catches more- I'm just lucky it's usually me, but I have bad days. Keeps me coming back.
  21. If they're a good friend, rub it in like an Indian burn. Be careful though because if you get a good one, they'll be the ones with the net. I waited last time on the truck ride home. I had bruises on my gut from setting the hook and kept crying about how bad it hurt and they were lucky to not have war scars. The bass thumb was an added bonus lol. I gave them the exact setup I was using and can't explain it. One of them, I consider a better fisherman than me. Sometimes ya just get lucky I guess.
  22. Should have set the hook and handed him the rod. If he/she had a physical disability I could see wanting to do it themselves but that's an odd request. Awesome of you for helping and having the discipline not to rip the hook and helping veterans. They don't get enough help.
  23. Keitechs, and I recently bought some smash tech baits that look very promising. I can't wait to try them so I can officially say yay or nay, but they look good and I like the consistency of the plastic. Probably tear easily but that's ok if it's done by fish.
  24. Spray paint the bait, if the colors don't work out for you.
  25. I'm a big fan of owner flashy swimmer
