  1. Scuppernong is a species of grape. They can grow to a reddish brown color. There are crawfish that take on that color. I tried it in a Power Team crawfish soft bait. It hasn’t shown to be anything special so far.
  2. That is me. I’ve always liked to explore new techniques which generally means new lures. I look at the bait and try and visualize the situation where it would shine or prove itself. The Dark Sleeper is a perfect example. It more than met expectations. I enjoy the whole experience of bass fishing and fishing diverse waters. The more versatile the better and sometimes that results in trying something new.
  3. Some how I see you holding it like like Judge Schmailing in the movie Caddy Shack held his classic putter. Oooohhhhh. Billy Billy Billy Billy.? Congratulations on the find!
  4. I play with Legos, Match Box cars, Play Doh, color, play Uno, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, put together puzzles and watch cartoons. Sponge Bob is a regular.
  5. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I love auto spell check. ?
  6. I don’t disagree with you Kent. The question was the degree of difference between two price points. Is the degree of performance, longevity and serviceability really twice as good between reels where one costs twice as much as another. My point is the same or similar computer technology is applied in the production of a reel model, for example, a Tatula SV and a Zillion. The materials applied are the same or very similar and in some applications, components may even be interchangeable. Can I say that the Zillion is twice the reel. No I can’t. Shimano has applied the same or similar technology, example, the DC system to the SLX series which narrows the performance gap with in two price ranges. That generates the question of performance being so far apart to justify double the retail? Is there a more distinguishable difference in performance between reel brands/manufactures at comparable price points? I say yes but add what is the difference in design features? Finally, there are other companies that are closing the performance/longevity disparity with the “big two” . It’s seems to be that major design differences construed major price differences. My position is that factor is lessening as model years continue.
  7. Now that design technology, materials and machining have reached parody among and within manufactures, the difference or gap in performance and longevity between those price points had narrowed and will most likely continue to narrow.
  8. As a recipient of the annual A-Jay stock reduction sale, I can attest to one thing..... he don’t by no junk!
  9. My first trip the Clear Lake. My buddy and I went with no information after the area had flood closures. The high water was warm and the bass moved up. I had four days with five best going over twenty five pounds. I’ve never had four plus pound fish in four casts until that trip. It was awesome.
  10. The Elites are not silver. They are lunar mist.
  11. Let me just say that I love you guys. I made a bet with my son that there would be X number of responses to a question that most people would never ask let alone expect a response. But the interest in personal hygiene here is overwhelming and you all should be commended for that. And yes, this thread is better than anything on the news right now. I actually use body wash but that’s because I shave my under arms.
  12. Which do you prefer?
  13. Ian has already picked out his absolute favorite color pattern, 6th Sense Black Magic. He loves that pattern. I’ll have to get him a frog for sure.
  14. I prefer to mime when I’m fishing.
  15. Crankbaits. It’s the one lure category that requires or seems to require the largest selection of baits and combos. Crankbaits don’t all reach the same depth zone. Each bait provides a signature vibration and sound. The forage base requires at least three to five color patterns. I consider lipless and jerkbaits their own animal. Effectively fishing from one inch deep to twenty five feet deep is quite a variance for a bait that floats and requires some fashion of bill to reach a depth zone. I love it though. When you get it dialed in, it can lead to a break out day.
  16. A longer rod would make a significant impact.
  17. The sportsmanship of players from every control involved is to be an example for all sports. The city of Edmonton hosted the tournament and again, did itself proud.
  18. Champion 705CB with a Tatula SV in 6.3 with 15 Invizex. This set up also makes a great target spinnerbait duo and smaller top water/walking bait combo. I get a lot of use from this set up.
  19. It’s real! Just ask my wife who is having another cancer removed day after tomorrow.
  20. The United States Junior Hockey Team beat Team Canada for the world gold medal. What a game!
