  1. Smalller flipping jig. Nose hook a SK Rage Chunk rather than attempt to thread it on.
  2. If you fish a River system, the thicker high quality blades prove their worth.
  3. Nope. I throw a spinnerbait on my chatter bait rod. I use two different combos for spinnerbaits because of the significant difference in applications. When burning in open water for smallmouth the composite gets the duty. When working a spinnerbait in stained water with heavy cover, wood, pads, bushes and so on, the MH extra fast on 20 floor always gets that duty. Here’s the analogy: An NHL defenseman wall checking a player at speed in comparison to a nose guard stuffing a tail back.
  4. Pretty Colonel, very pretty, but can they fight?!
  5. How do you think the fact that a spotted bass has a rough patch on it’s tongue was discovered??! Just ask Frenchy.
  6. Puff the magic dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary
  7. I added a Champion 733SF since this started and the Kaden 735CB and 743C will be here Wednesday. The blanket got bigger.
  8. I have som Norman DLN crankbaits that have the bills ground down so much I can’t tune them anymore.
  9. Smaller square bills and top water baits.
  10. Current is extremely important. The rate of flow can determine how deep or shallow the bass are in the water column. The structure that diverts the current will generally position those fish. Any current break will provide for an ambush spot to capitalize on bait washing by. Bass know how to conserve energy by sitting in the voids and slack sections. Those are always prime targets for me.
  11. Fishing would be awesome if ..... oh I’ll leave it alone.
  12. I was already hearing impaired by then. Too many Supercross events in the King Dome.
  13. Minimum of 7-3. I don’t care about leverage or fulcrum principles. I remember the days of the over the head hook sets.
  14. And they reduced the size of score able bass to 8 ounces.
  15. Gamakatsu has what you are looking for. Check Any major retailer. Wicked Wacky Hook
  16. Gammi 4/0 off set round bend.
  17. No problem with those weight ranges.
  18. Can you say, good night Irene?
  19. What a tragic loss. This is the “cast a big net” lawsuit. I’ll leave the family dynamic out of it. Attorneys that specialize in injury litigation hope to get the named defendants insurance carrier to settle rather than enter into long term four cases. The more named, the better the odds of one or all to settle. It’s pathetic. The plaintiff could have tried to name the boat manufacfacture, outboard manufacture, last mechanic to work on the boat, the county, state and on and on. Plaintiff will need to show each defendant showed recklessness, negligence or purposed indifference in some act that contributed to the death. Triple sad.
  20. Are they good? More like awesome. Gammi 604 round bend hooks and the best trailer keeper out there. Skirts are hand tied. I have four dozen on the way. Thanks for the heads up!!!! I don’t have Facebook. CC
  21. I use it on Red Label and it helps reduce memory and adds a slicker feel to the exterior.
  22. Sieberts tungsten shaky head with the screw lock is the best I’ve found to date. It matches up perfectly with a trick worm.
  23. SDS Custom Reels had a carbon fiber handle that is really nice. Find him on EBay. Very reasonable.
  24. Quality wire that allows maximum blade vibration but durable. The R bend design. A head design that prevent the skirt from rolling over the wire. A tied skirt that’s not overly bulky and pulses. A trailer keeper that actually keeps. Stainless steel blades with some thickness and non tarnish finish. A quality BB swivel with strong split rings AND the loop at end of the arm is welded closed. Less than ten bucks.
