  1. Here’s an old one. If you store a rod on the wall using metal nails, that will cause your graphite rods to break on that point of contact.
  2. Dancin Eel and the helicopter lure. Storm Thin Fin
  3. Bass jaundice. Must have bit a rusty hook.
  4. It’s not over yet.
  5. Turkish spa?
  6. If the left thumb is on the reel, the right hand becomes an assist. Two handed casting is a good thing.
  7. I like sharing. I like sharing time with the few I can call real friends. I really like sharing knowledge and experience with young anglers. I sharing my stuff. I also like sharing my live well to those that enter it.
  8. How timely. I just changed numerous plugs, switches and light fissures at my mother’s home. I have been bit many times over the years. Getting tased is no fun either.
  9. I’ve been very disciplined this year and limited my purchases to a few top water baits but......I really wanted to replace a reel I sold with the Zillion G and ordered one from my local dealer and picked it up today. No one can spoil me like me.?
  10. I prefer them over lead for the feel.
  11. Depth. Smallmouth, if it’s available prefer colder water, clearer water and higher levels of oxygen and security. Bodies of water that have depth provide those elements. A diver was searching for a car that left the road and entered the Columbia River. He found it in over 70 feet of water along with numerous smallmouth, big smallmouth. Most of us don’t or won’t fish that deep. In some cases you just can’t.
  12. Daiwa Luvias is incredible. Got to shop though.
  13. Bummer. The Dobyns Kaden 714C is really really good and it has a full rear grip. However, it an inch too long.
  14. I bought a new jar of U40 cork sealer. Wooohoooo!
  15. Check Siebert Outdoors. Great products!
  16. Bloody Thumb Lures. My customs work great. The original Wiggle Wart was made from a plastic material that was found to have a chemical that was found to cause cancer. The formula was changed and the rest his history. The Speed Trap also had a material change.
  17. Normans DD22, SK 6XD and the 6th Sense Cloud9 series should set you up nicely at affordable prices. I have found the length of the cast is paramount to getting to max depth. My deepest bass on a crankbait came 20 feet.
  18. Audio visual team. They brought the 16 mm projector in and set it up so the science class could watch the film . My science teacher would leave the room and step outside to smoke his pipe. My high school had a smoking dock for the students and teachers would sometimes have a Winston with the students. Hot lunch was 35 cents and an extra milk a nickel. We had text books. My parents bought us an encyclopedia set which was big money! We received polio vaccine on a sugar cube at school when I was in kindergarten.
  19. And attach playing cards with clothes pins on the forks.
  20. YOU guys are awesome! Great memories.
  21. I remember riding the bus down town with my brother and going to Woolworths for fries and a soda before the 25 cent noon movies and then walking through the GI surplus store. I can still smell the oiled plank floor and canvas. Oh, I was nine years old.
  22. What’s a mall? McDonalds ? Never heard of it. A and W served at the window. Johnny Unitas. Sandy Colfax.
  23. I don’t feel old but I am a post WW2 child. All things are relative but it’s fun to tell my grand kids stories of how it was for me. Remember when: We only had black and white TV We had to get up and turn a dial to change the 2 channels. Cassius Clay beat Sonny Liston You opened your pop with an opener Cloth diapers you dunked in the toilet Listening to Wolfman Jack on your transistor radio Learning to drive with a three speed on the column. Feel free......
