  1. Never. Discovering what didn’t work is a step toward figuring out what will.
  2. I’m so sorry. Prayers for all touched by this painful loss.
  3. Am just the opposite. I like having six hook points to stick a fish. It only takes one. Once you understand the lure and how to work it, your confidence grows. I will run a crankbait in pad fields. I am convinced there is no better lure to to fish rock and much of my fishing is just that.
  4. I always thought BPS exclusive label reels were just rebranded Pflueger platforms. Spinning however have a similarity to Daiwa products. The Pflueger reels I had in the 90’s were good to me.
  5. My 90 year old Mom had hit the medical wall that pushed to reality she just couldn’t liv alone. This concerned has been driving me crazy for the last several years Mom made the statement the it was past time selling the house and moving from Oregon to Washington. Put the house on the marked and hit the number we hoped for. A two day prepacking with some sell offs got us to a one day pack and unpack. I planned the move like a cop and had my task sheet done. Now m y mother can be closed to me, grand kids and great grandkids. All her needs are covered and we hope to be maximize her quality of life to the maximum. Now I can breathe and maybe catch some bass. We did it.
  6. It’s been on the market for years. It’s a good bait.
  7. If your rod locker will accommodate an 8 foot rod I would strongly consider the 805CB be it the graphite or glass which is a composite blank. I have the 805 CB Glass but I’m also a fan of glass/composite rods. The 765 CB will also handle each of the lures you listed extremely well. The 735 CB was actually designed as a chatter bait rod.
  8. TW bag is great.
  9. Thank you all. My stuff is organized. This one bait was misplaced but there was no way I could recall dropping it in the toad (trailers) bag. Just too much. I have so much life stuff on my plate right now I’m shorting out I guess.?
  10. My club team member Sean asked to borrow a specific buzzbait I told him I had. You think I could find it? In my quest to seek out the holy grail also known as this buzzbait I went through so much tackle I had a head ache. I finally found it in a TW tackle bag where I keep my toads. It was on the bottom covered in packages of toads. So I came to a painful conclusion. I have too much tackle or dementia. I am at the point my accumulation of tackle and even combos is actually a distraction. If I was thirty years younger it might not be an issue but at this point I’ve reached That point. That’s all.
  11. When I cut the backlash out.
  12. The one with handle on the right and the one with the handle on the left.
  13. I have a bit of experience with the Tatula SV and would get the Elite for jerk baits.
  14. Champion 764CB RM.
  15. Not a chance in you know where.
  16. Sieberts baby!
  17. I went high end on my first combo. Fenwick Lunker Stik 555 with an Ambassadeur 5000C. Big bucks.
  18. They are back. A once popular bait after Davy Hite won a classic with these, they slipped out of favor and were dropped. But they are back they catch fish. FYI
  19. The answer to the OP’s question is yes, based on my experience with my 755. Fishing a nano resin based blank is a different animal. Dobyns offers weight ranges for each model. The low ends and high ends are do able but not optimal. Look at the middle of the range and that is the optimum performance weight or the “sweet spot.” That is a rule I apply to any purchase of a Dobyns rod. So far so good.
  20. The only good thing about DST is it keeps me from forgetting how to set my watch.
  21. So I picked up the 704C 735C and they will at some point go to our club’s student anglers. The first thing I noted was how light they are. Both are balanced really well, typical Dobyns. Blanks are lightly sanded but you can still feel the ridges from the compression wrap, a little smoother than the Kadens. Guides appear to be the same as used on the Fury series. Ample guides ( listening Daiwa?) and laser straight placement. Clean wraps and apoxy. Overall Fuji reel seat and blue accents. Foam grips are large enough for bigger hands. Taper and powers are consistent with the Fury equivalents. I’m pretty impressed and at 99 bucks and free shipping from Dobyns web site, these are a really really good value. Now to fish them some.
  22. I picked up two of the new Maverick Series casting rods. If anyone is interested I’ll post some photos and comments.
  23. Ima Rumba is my go to. I have others but this bait gets bit.
