  1. I saw Silence Of The Lambs but the girl singing in the van scene needed voice lessons.
  2. Gary Yamamoto was one of the first if not the first plastics manufacturer to truly grasp the nature of anglers and their desire to find that one color that will be better than the other or others. I have my four and no more.
  3. Weighted wacky jig head and wacky drop shot. Zappu Inchie.
  4. And sometimes, where there’s little fish, there’s big fish.
  5. The technique is referred to as scuffing and started in the late 70’s by a guide in Tennesee. He carried 400 Emory cloth in his tackle box and never allowed anyone to observe him scuff his plastics and shiny lead bullet sinkers. The secret got out when the guides client saw him rubbing his lure with sand paper. Google it. You won’t find anything. Time for bed.
  6. Awesome in and around vegetation.
  7. The monkey was singing a song in my ear a couple weeks ago. I recognized the melody from the Village People. But the words were different. Gavacho Gavacho, Gavacho frog..... wouldn’t you like to buy some. Gavacho Frogs? Well red frog and true Gill look nice in my box and they walk nicely.
  8. Oh yea. Sieberts for sure. Mike is great to do business with and his products are top notch. His tungsten shaky heads are fantastic.
  9. There are no words. I lost my only brother. You honor your brother by sharing your loss. Prayers sent.
  10. Of all people, you should know that the bait monkey spares no man from temptation. When you see an old basser walking at the ramp and he’s all hunched over, it’s evidence he carried that little primate for decades. There is no relief from the monkey. It’s only a matter of when, and his bidding can not be ignored.
  11. YoZuri is one of the larger diameter per test strength. The first time you fish with floro you will feel the difference. If the lines you mentioned are within your budget, go for it. They both have better handling properties than Red Label or Basix in my opinion. If you are comfortable casting a stiffer line floro has some good attributes.
  12. Current and anything that changes or alters current flow including the vegetation edges.
  13. Purple is the original green pumpkin.
  14. Strike King. Rage Craw is 4 inches and Baby is 3 inches. Bizz Baits Cutter Craw is 3.75 inches and has great action.
  15. SK Pro Model 1x. Mine are 1XS
  16. SK This is the super shallow version
  17. Most will not consider the Normas Deep Little N as old school but it’s been around for decades and still does the job. Stan Sloan’s Aggravator short arm spinnerbait is also a dirty water wonder. The Heddon Spook is timeless. Too many to list.
  18. eThey had a serious design flaw. I’ll be kind and take them off your hands and save you the frustration right now.
  19. Name the pattern Vizine.
  20. You have three reels mentioned that will serve you well and have effective cast control systems. Tatula CT, LFS and SLX. No bad choice here. I differ about rods. A 6-6 to 7 foot medium fast or a 3 power depending on manufacturer. It is more probable your grandson will fish lighter baits as in 3/16 to maybe a half ounce and medium/3 power will be more forgiving during the learning curve of casting. That’s how I started my grandkids and it has been successful. One other issue. Start with mono. I can’t stress that enough. This entry level stuff so equip for success in mastering the casting process first.
  21. And, If it doesn’t fit.... get a bigger hammer.
  22. It’s not about the tool. It’s understanding what the tool can do and how and when to apply it.
