  1. The mid size Rage Bug in blue craw w. red flake is my total confidence pitching bait. We all have our go to’s. And for A-Jay, last October I handed my buddy a swing head with a green pumpkin RB rigged on it at a big bass event. He won it.
  2. A legend. He changed how I fished for a long long time. Sad .
  3. At the JDM price the Zillion is it.
  4. My motive to post: Lews started somewhere. I didn’t care and still don’t. I loved them then and the brand is relevant now.
  5. All made in Japan. These are not the Shimano models of which, I had two and sold. I tried to buy them back . No luck. There are technically two generations displayed. The earlier have the anti reverse switch on top.
  6. I have run the same rigging for 15 years with great results. Main line (12 braid) to a tiny black barrel swivel. I pre tie my drop shot leaders and run the hook about 30 inches below the swivel. I cut the tag from 6 to 24 inches depending on circumstances. I almost always run a cylinder weight .
  7. Proven products deserve consideration. Unproven products must earn that consideration over time. It’s pretty simple.
  8. I guess I’m the odd cat. I retired at 63 1/2 and had a financial plan that works. Retirement is not what I expected. My life is not dictated by my wants or wishes. It’s dis rated by the needs of my children, my grand children , my wife and especially my aging mother. Having a day where I’m not addressing family needs is very rare. Also, I miss the folks I worked with. More to retirement than just not being employed.
  9. Good stuff.
  10. Praying for you both.
  11. No big deal except Bomber producing products for under four bucks.
  12. I see you’re still wearing the same jeans.?
  13. R or L ??
  14. What about the black bean weight by Gamakatzu?
  15. I factor feathering in when I purchase a spinning reel. Daiwa LT series reels have just the right distance to the spool edge. Stan Fagerstrom taught me how the finger and cup feather.
  16. Are you screwed? Not at all.
  17. So let’s pretend that reel manufacturers read this forum and specifically, this post. If you could share what handle length(s) you like and knob styles that you would choose what would they be? Spinning reels: Stock Daiwa Handle and T knob are just fine. 95 mm casting and bring back the knob from the OG Zillion! 100mm casting on any cranking and flippin-pitching-punching reels. Same knob. No hypalon foam please. I think skinny thin grips are not conducive to larger adult size digits. Contoured and meaty allow a relaxed grip. That’s my two cents.
  18. I think Glenn founded this forum on several values. A common interest. Sharing that interest and knowledge. Mutual respect. Common courtesy. Tempered egos. Understanding all have different experience levels. That’s a foundation for success. But what separates BR is you! All of you bring diversity as anglers and as people. When a member shares I know it’s from a perspective other than anyone else’s and that keeps me reading. I also Appreciate what you bring. You have what I need. You guys and gals may not grasp it, but there is a real sense of fellowship here. I gotta stop.
  19. I was browsing my local tackle store and lucked into this beauty and snatched it up. Some of us just get lucky I guess.
  20. No. I have a brand or manufacturer preference because of a specific design feature I find very effective. I will not however box myself in to a single product line if I find another product superior or just different and enjoyable to use.
  21. I want a Zillion of them.
