  1. I just went to Edge Rods in Woodland for the early Black Friday sale and talked the Gary Loomis. I picked up three rods. They are running a 30 percent off sale with free shipping right now. I saved a bunch. The Epitome are not quite done. The floor model was amazing. The monkey owns me.
  2. Bass fishing is a process. Pros are like NFL top tier quarterbacks who are great at going through the progressions of pass options and do it fast. Pros assess the situation quickly, test it and refine the catch technique or move on and reassess. They do it fast. The article is more about the thought processes that get them to the point of actually throwing what they decide on.
  3. Two Tatula 100’s from Japan will set you back $232.00. There you go.
  4. Just when you thought you’d seen it all, Bill Lewis Lures designed a jerk bait specifically for forward facing sonar. Never mind if the fish will eat it. What’s more important is can you watch it in a FFS unit. I have another idea. Imprint a scan bar on the belly of crankbaits so you can use your phone to scan it and immediately know the lure’s depth range.

  5. He named it Andre.
  6. Rain, cold rain, really cold rain, moderately cold rain, slightly warmer rain, rain with high winds, rain with no wind, rain with sleet, rain with showers.
  7. The more I read about history, the more I worry about the future.
  8. Largemouth: 65-35 casting Smallmouth: 65-35 spinning
  9. Look at the category SWIMBAIT. They don’t have a lip or bill. Within that category are sub categories such as hard body, hollow body, paddle tail and so on. Even the term glide bait still falls under the general category of swimbait. Tackle Warehouse does a good job of filtering the category.
  10. Look at the Stanley baby Vibrashaft. Very compact, well built spinnerbait. I got two for my grandson.
  11. Well I realized it’s soo much easier to to work them right to left and surmised my rods must be designed for right to left. A very subtle design factor but very good to know. I’m definitely on something or on to something.
  12. When you work a Spook type bait, do you prefer right to left or left to right?
  13. Any moderate to heavy vegetation gets straight braid. Soon to be extinct flouro carbon for everything else.
  14. I’m stocking up and storing it next to my toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
  15. What is the purpose of the spinning blade on the given lure. Answer that and blade selection becomes a little easier.
  16. I have three. Swing by the house and I’ll give them to you.
  17. Take care or yourself!!!!!
  18. People are different. They each have their own learning styles, communication styles, personality quirks, values and personal histories that made them who they are. When you observe behavior that is positive and productive or helpful, reinforce that. When you experience behaviors that don’t benefit the work place, tactfully share ideas to improve or modify the behaviors to get a better result. I had a Chief of Police who was hard to work under. It wasn’t just me who felt that way. He spent hours in the restroom. Hours. No exaggeration. Some of my coworkers sent a message without saying a word. The installed a parking meter next to the toilet. True story.
  19. Alphas SV is 169.00 on Digitaka right now. I’d take that over a Tatula 80 all day long.
  20. You are good to go. As you wear out your mono or hybrid you can even simplify further with 17 test. Fish on!
  21. Right now! If you have vertical grass that has a distinct edge, parallel it like it was a sea wall. If the vegetation grows out a little deeper beyond the visible edge, better. Try to tick the top of that thinner vegetation. Be patient and cover those weed walls and you’ll be surprised .
  22. Star light, star bright, what thread did I forget tonight?
  23. Tom’s account is no exaggeration! Every hook had to be sharpened regardless if it was new. I too, broke a seat pedestal on my old Terry Basser. Why anyone feels the need to run to to the back deck as part of the hook set is beyond me? Makes for good television I guess. Maybe fishing with a limp Richard rod requires over compensation.
