  1. It’s not too late to post yourself on the flea market.
  2. Right eye done. I’m good to go. It looks like I’ll be able to wear normal sunglasses and use reading glasses for real close stuff like this typing. Pretty happy!
  3. Most rods break as a result of three factors. First is accidental carelessness. Second is from high sticking or overloading the blank in isolated portion of the blank. Third is stress on a location that was bruised. When blank is struck by a hard item, a branch, worm weight, lure or dropping it on the gunnel, a blank can be bruised. Over time the area expands and reaches a fail point under stress. Some rods have actual manufacture defects or a design flaw. Those rods that are heavily sanded to reduce weight are most at risk of failure. Rods constructed with nano resins seem be be less prone to failure. Rods break.
  4. The Ducks and I go back to the days of Dan Fouts and Amad Rashad. The gave the Washington Huskies a beat down. Burch and Johnson were back and added some great play. I spent a lot of time at Autzen Stadium and it looks like this could be the year. Go Ducks!
  5. Clean and lube reels. Buy what A-Jay decides to sell.
  6. I have to say, I have never seen a time where so many outlets had so many sales, extended sales with so many aggressive discounts. Items never on sale are popping up. It’s a great time to shop I guess.
  7. Mike did three for me. Couldn’t be happier.
  8. It’s like a summer sausage with hooks👍
  9. My godson moved to Post Falls Idaho and asked me to drive over and spend a week on Coeur de Laine and maybe Dworshack. I missed out on peak spring fishing this year. My wife had to take care of her mother, out of state, for almost seven months. It would be nice to capitalize on that period. Finally, I have acquired Swimbaits that need to be torn up.
  10. I don’t go clear. The Spook and Super Spook in Okie Shad have been great for years.
  11. It’s all about line capacity. The left two are standard SLX Next from left is a Scorpian 70 with is a JDM Curado. The far right is a Tatula 100. I don’t do Shimanos over a 150 size. A Curado 150 MGL is great but so is the JDM Zillion. A Zillion at two hundred bucks is the deal. Too bad the Scorpian 150 MGL’s at $135.00 are a thing of the past.
  12. Cataract surgery yesterday on the left eye. The right will be done on Tuesday. See you later!
  13. Tie perfection on your line.👍
  14. I’m like CATT, my birthday is on December 29. I might get a NOCO jump charger.
  15. That period has a four pin cast control and a slightly heavier spool if memory serves me right. There are some additional upgrades on the latest derivation . With that said, they are good reels and would be nice work horses for you. Flush the bearings and re-oil.
  16. Bill Lewis ATV, Norman’s Fat Boy, 6th Sense Munch or Crush 50 and Lil John.
  17. I am right there with A-Jay with two additional considerations. First, you can acquire a moderate action by design or material. You get to choose. Glass rebounds slower than composites and all graphite rebounds the quickest. Here’s three examples of very goods vibrating jig rods: Dobyns Kaden 735 CB. All graphite and moderate. NFC Edge EFX Pro Hybrid MBR 706-1C. Composite, moderate, slower rebound. Alpha Angler Rebound 7’ Glass. Made from S2 glass, moderate with power and the slowest rebound of the three. Why moderate? A-Jay nailed it but consider this. A vibrating jig is a jig. But this jig has two points that hinge or swivel. This gives bass the ability to rock the jig in all kinds of angles unlike a traditional jig. That movement is an open door for slack and relieving tension on the hook. This is why treble hook baits benefit from moderate slower actions to stay hooked up. The goal, constant tension without ripping the hook out or bending the hook out. One last point. I don’t buy in to the idea slow rods allow the bass to suck in a moving bait deeper. If it’s something that gives you confidence, that’s great. It’s winter I guess.😁
  18. Right Mike. Deer season just opened.
  19. Placed my order and I got the last white/char. Mike might want to expand the run? The old school meets 2024. I love it.
