I put a tea spoon of crawfish Smelly Jelly on my oatmeal every morning, that way when I want to sent a lure I just spit on it. It also keeps me regular.

Spinnerbaits are probably the one lure type that are effected by design more than any other. The baits offer flash, vibration, stop and start up action, falling action and skirt pulse. The factors in which a spinnerbait does this is dependent on wire diameter, bend style at the line tie, angle the wire comes out from the head, head design, length and angle of the blade arm, matching and spacing of the blades in a multiple blade design, blade shape, blade size, blade material, blade thickness, blade cupping, blade finish, clevis size, size-quality of ball bearing, skirt materiel and strand count. Anytime you add a trailer you impact the action. The radius of the blade rotation, their distance, how one blade's water displacement counteracts with the other blade, the speed of the rotation also impact that water displacement. These factors all attribute to the vibration signature of a bait. You can change the vibration of a spinnerbait by spreading the wire arm and creating distance from the head and changing the angle the water comes into contact with the blade(s) and or close the gap and bring the blade arm closer to the hook and skirt. These are all great standards to follow. I would add: Be prepared to launch when It's your turn. Get ready in a staging area and don't block the launch. Be a giver and not a taker.

I organize my baits by type and or technique. If I fish my home lake, I know I won't be fishing deeper than 10 feet so I can eliminate a bunch of baits and several rod/reel combos. I try and apply this to any body of water. I error on the side of caution if I think there is a chance I might need some lures and or a combo.

Fishing rods are a composition of materials and design. Good materials with bad design or great design with sub standard materials will show up in the rod's performance. What separates one rod from another is how materials and design come together to provide action, power, balance, , weight, comfort, visual appeal and the level of sensitivity an angler is looking for. The more you fish, the more discriminate you become in what you want in a rod.

This relationship will benefit both brands in the long run.

There were subtle signs of this acquisition taking place over the last year or so. A number of long time Strike King Pro's had begun relationships with Lew's. I don't scrimp on terminal tackle or line. I buy what I have confidence in and look sales or discounts on those products when I can. If the item is a consumable, I will stock up a little. A good example are, Senkos, Rage Bugs and Keithech Fats. You also don't have to spend a bundle to get quality and performance. Seibert is a great example. Lures in relation to boat, truck, gas, launch fees, etc. is small.

The sweet spot for that model is 5/8 to 7/8 of an ounce and it has quite a bit of power in the lower half of the rod so it should work pretty well for spinnerbaits. I'm throwing my chatterbaits and larger spinnerbaits on a 736CB. The 805CB RM would double up.

If they were made in the US like Normans, expect them to be made in Guatemala in the future.
