  1. Frogs: Anywhere anytime Buzzbait: stained rippled water Wakebait: very shallow and over grasses Walking bait: rippled water or clear deep water where the bait will call the fish up. Popper: calm to lightly rippled water with good visibility. Prop bait: any place the hooks won’t get fouled. I enjoy Spook or Pencil walking baits the most. I don’t fish floating minnows. Too slow. I’ll just fish a popper.
  2. The Chatterbound is a composite blank. It has a delayed response. If you want your bait to move rapidly after it breaks free, this is not your rod. If you are looking for the bait release at a slower pace after it breaks free, this is the rod to do that. You also benefit from that action when fish try to dislodge the bait once hooked. The Chatterbound is very sensitive for a composite.
  3. Lucky Craft 1.5 6th Sense Crush 50 or Munch Norman Speed N Bill Lewis ATV SK Chick Magnet Norman Fat Boy Spro Little John (on sale)
  4. I am selling two immaculate 7.2 Shimano SLX 150’s with boxes and paperwork. Both are perfect inside and out and have 14 lb Invizx ready to go. $156.00 to your door, USPS, lower 48. PayPal only. Thanks for looking.
  5. Poncho and Lefty
  6. True hand pour or small operation injection mold pours? I buy both.
  7. My biggest 5 came at Clear Lake. No pictures. 8.15, 7.13, 7.11, 6.11 and 6.3 what ever that comes too. All largemouth. I had a 25 plus bag of smallmouth from Glenn’s favorite body of water. All on a Deep Little N and caught in less than 45 minutes. Best hour of bass fishing in my life.
  8. Just to clarify, the SLX series of reels is really good, just not comparable to Steez.
  9. I picked up an Edge “hover” rod which is in their steelhead/salmon line but it is absolutely fantastic as a Senko, Neko, shaky head, finesse jig rod. Many plants are edible.
  10. TB has been a dream of mine to visit. You’re blessed Catt.
  11. The Death Star is hovering over you as I type.
  12. The greatest teacher I’ve had regarding bass is the Columbia River. It opened my eyes to the variations that occur in bass activity from month to month, week to week, day to day and hour by hour. It can be overwhelming at times but it sure is fun and beautiful.
  13. Received mine today. What a unique head. A modified football head. The hook is wicked. Nice job Mike.
  14. Just a thought, don’t limit your options.
  15. This isn’t your grampa’s mono anymore. Mono technology has come a long way. Sunline Super Natural or Big Game are always in play, especially for moving baits. I hate auto spell!
  16. Perfect Pitch or any 5 power Dobyns.
  17. Look at HUK and. AFTCO. The AFTCO has a built in vented face covering you can pull down. Both are worth the price.
  18. Line routed thru the hook keeper?
  19. I’ve been lucky on pre owned reels. I’ve picked up several on the BR flea market and was really happy with all of them. I snagged a AA rod from a member and that was also a good experience. Buying upper tier reels used is a good way to go. Rods are tough because of shipping costs. I need to liquidate about a third of my combos.
  20. I was watching the history channel and Foods That Built America. They featured Doritos and explained how the lab used gas chromatography to recreate flavors. But the prop used in the recreation to show a graph was a Lowrance LRG 1510B Truline Recorder. So Doritos Taco flavored chips were developed on the edge of creek channel in 18 feet of water.
  21. It is a legitimate site. I purchased three Scorpians from them. Delivery takes about two weeks. Be aware that once you complete a transaction with them you will be sent emails daily on promotions.
