  1. At 70 I will leave all the work on my vehicles to the shop. I still like to work on my boat but major work is to the shop also.
  2. As already mention, hard to go wrong with the Pflueger line, they range in price from $60-$150.
  3. I would say it is for cranksbaits.
  4. Might want to look at the Falcon Carolina Lizard Dragger. It is heavy action, 7', 12-25# test, 3/8oz to 1oz. I use it for froggin, pitching, and of course carolina rigging. Mine is the older USA made Lowrider so the new ones might be different but is probably the same.
  5. They don't rattle but they sure do catch bass!!
  6. I use to be totally against clips until I tried some different ones. I ended up using the Tatical Anglers brand in 50 lb test. I know that sounds like overkill but the next ones small were too small. These have worked out great. I do retire after every trip and when I am fishing if I need to. I think I catch more fish because now I don't mind changing because it is so easy. I have heard some anglers say they can tie just as fast. Well if you can change lures in 6 seconds I guess you can, yes I timed it. I only use these snaps on cranks, jerks, and top water.
  7. Tackle Warehouse Labor Day Sale has started!!!
  8. Usually about 5 hours unless they are really biting good, then it is until they quit.
  9. This is the first year for me to use the Daiwa Tatulas reels. Wondering what everyone does using the cast control knob. The instructions that come with it says the cast control is set to factory specs, this gives the spool a little play. I use to set up reels by engaging the reel and letting the lure slowly fall. I have been using the factory setting and doing fine with it but my wife has trouble using the reels set that way. I guess I could set up one with the old way of doing it and she would probably have no problem. So, how is everyone setting set up their Tatulas. BTW, my Tatulas are the 100's.
  10. It is going to get mixed regardless how you do it if you do any traveling after you put it in.
  11. Zoom Trick worm in Junebug or Green Pumpkin with Picasso Rhino Head, usually 1/8oz.
  12. I am sure you will like them. They are really good seats for any price, great warranty!!!

  14. I would love to order the baits they already have out, can't get what they don't have. ?
  15. I have Tatulas but you can't go wrong with either.
  16. If you would have asked me last year I would have said no way I am using a snap. Read on here a lot of guys using them and thought I would give them a try, snaps are the way to go for cranks. I use the Tactical Anglers and couldn't be any happier. It is true, you can teach a old dog new tricks.
  17. I don't think Falcon makes a 6'6" rod in the Lowrider. I know they use to because I have 2 of them.
  18. I know Falcon makes a 6'6" rod in the Bucoo series called the "Herm". They run around $100. Pretty good rods for the money. ;
  19. I have the adjustable one on my boat and love it. I like to put it all the way down to get some rest for my legs and sometimes I put it up to lean my butt on it, I will also turn it around and put it on my back, Now I am 70 years old so that might explain why I like the adjustable one, probably just a senior thing. ?

Use Fish Monkey, they had good selection of different styles and colors.
  21. No but I use a leader just in case I am wrong. ?
  22. Sending up prayer to Chris and the Houston family.
  23. Actually I have. I was fishing a club tournament and needed one more fish for a limit. I had 3 minutes to be back at the ramp or I would be late. Pulled up to a spot and made 2 casts and caught a fish on the second cast. Put it in the livewell and made it to the ramp with 30 seconds to spare. Would like to say I won the tournament but I didn't, came in 4th I think.
  24. I do this to all my Z Man products. I rough them up to get most of the salt out of them so they will stand up on the bottom.
  25. I really like Fish Monkey gloves. The best I've tried.
