  1. That's a good one !!!!
  2. I have 2 Falcon Lowrider rods from late 80's/early90's and 1 new Falcon. I can't see much difference in them so I just keep using the old ones until I break them. They did make some improvements but not enough to set the old ones aside.
  3. I had that same lure back in the mid 80's. I don't know how how it had been out before then. I would probably guess the late 70's.
  4. Any Pflueger spinning reel, can't go wrong. Just according how much you want to spend.
  5. 6'6' med. spinning rod with 10lb braid, with 5' 7lb leader with TRD/Hula Stick with 1/16oz head with weedguard. Ned rig.
  6. 7'3 to 7'6 heavy action rod, 7.1:1 reel, 50-60lb braid, lure of your choice. This is what I like. Welcome to the forum.
  7. Don't know if it is the best but I have caught a bunch of fish on Bandits, 100, 200, 300.
  8. Really never heard of Wolmanized wood. I do know if you go to a Lowes, Home Depot and ask for pressure treated wood, they will sell you some than has the copper in it.Been there, done that. The first time I changed my bunks, I read about the copper affecting aluminum. I has used glue but I didn't want to take the chance. Better to spend another $50 than to eat holes in my boat.
  9. Look on the internet, there are tons of stories that show the pressure treated wood eating into aluminum. It is the copper in the treatment that eats into it. Do what you want to do, but I won't use pressure treated on aluminum. If you get you lumber ay Lowes, Home Depot, it will have the copper in it.
  10. Magic eraser on the handle, Dawn on the rod and then Meguiars wax.
  11. If you have a aluminum boat, don't use pressure treated boards. The boards will eat the aluminum. I got boards and primed them with Kilz and then put several coats of paint. I ordered the carpet from bassboatseats.com. They really worked out nice, total cost was about $60 for 2 eight foot bunks. Forgot to mention, if your boat is fiberglass, no problem with pressure treated boards.
  12. Looks great !!! Will have to bookmark her site so when I catch "the big one".
  13. +1, about the only jerkbait I throw, silver with black back, white bottom.
  14. I don't see how y'all take that cold, last week it was 17* low, today it is 75* high. As they say, if you don't like the weather now, stick around, it will change.
  15. So sorry to hear this, thoughts and prayer to you and your children.
  16. Sunline Sniper. the smallest I use is 7lb but it is a great spinning reel line.
  17. + 1. hopefully see will never get to see how well it works.
  18. .......and I thought I was dumb, no clue of what is means. Maybe someone will tell us.
  19. Guess I missed the moon, but it it is going to be 75*here today, no ice.
  20. Another Sunline Sniper user. Tried a bunch but really love the Sniper the best.
  21. Congrats on the boat, looks like its got a ton of storage. My best tip, don't forget to put the plug in.
  22. I never seen anyone throw trash down, but I always pick it up.
  23. I have been called lots of things but I have never been called a Ned Nerd.
  24. Congrats Clemson, I am an SEC fan but enough is enough.
  25. Use what ever you got on hand for backing or buy something cheap. Really doesn't matter for bass fishing.
