As a old guy (71) I have learned to pay no attention with people's bashing. Keep on, keep on, Love your post and advise. Your are truly a stick and don't let anyone tell you any different.
I am thinking of getting the Ultimate Bunks. I know you got the reinforced ones, have you had any issue of sagging in the middle. Like yours, my trailer supports are 8-9 feet apart.
I use primary 11 foot jig poles made by B&M and Lews. I use a small spinning reel or a underspin on them with 6# test. I like the stand tube jig along with the Charlie Brewer grubs. My all time best jig is a solid pink hair jig made by Slater jigs,
Been using Sunline Sniper for a looong time. Use the Double San Diego jam knot, I learned it as the Jimmy Houston knot in the 80's, never has a knob to turn loose or break at the knot.
I throw cranks probably 80% of the time. Before last year I used the Lew's David Fritts rod but I wanted something lighter. Bought the Daiwa Tatula Elite Randy Howell rod and love it. It is rated a ML but seems a little stouter. I had very few fish come unlooked.
Looking at a Daiwa Tatula Rod primary for plastic fishing. The 7'1" med heavy has a xfast action which I have never used before, always used a fast action. Anyone use a xfast action for plastic. For the most part I think it would be a great rod but just wanted some assurance from those who used the xfast. Any disadavatages?? I primary fish docks and rip rap.
Same here but in colors of chart,/blue back and chart/black back. Actually I have caught bass all year long on the Frittside, it's not just for cold water.
