I bought some years ago when they were not reinforced with al. strip. I eventually had to take them off. I had the 8 ft. ones and there were not enough support. I only had 2 points to attach them. Maybe if I had a third support they would have worked. Also, don't take the winch off until you are backed up into the water these thing are super slick. Being slick also makes it hard to power load. You have to keep you motor running and in gear in order to hook up the winch. If you don't. it will start to slide back into the water. They really didn't work for me. I have read where a lot of people really liked them. I was just not really happy with them.
If you are reading good voltage, I wouldn't think it would be a bad electrical connection. Like DanielG suggested, should like it could be a transducer connection or either a setting that has got off. I would call Garmin, they got good support.
Too busy on my home waters for me. Think I will do some odds and ends around the house and maybe grill out, second thought, think I will eat out!! Hope everyone has a great and safe Labor Day!!
I have 3 spinning outfits. All have Hi Vis yellow Power Pro braid, 10# test with 7# Sunline Sniper FC. Works for me. The only line besides braid that I likes is Berkley Sensation. It cast great with min. trouble. I just had to have a line I could see.
Don't rule out a rod just because it does not have a hook keeper. These by Fuji work really well. I like they flip out of the way when you don't use it.
I don't know if it is the number 1 color but I sure have caught a bunch of fish using green pumpkin. About the only other color I throw is junebug. Between the 2, one seems to always work.
I only carry 2 colors for the most part, Junebug and Green Pumpkin. I am kind of like Gerald Swindle when they asked him the color of jigs he throws. He said, I will start will brown, if that don't work I will go with black or, I will start with black, if that don't work, I will go with brown.
Medium will work, tried the M/L and went back to the Medium. I use the Lews Custom Speed Stick, don't know nothing about the Duckett rods. I believe Ned even uses some Medium rods. The key is setting the drag.

I have always had my license with me when I fished but now I don't have to worry about it, over 65 years of age in Mississippi you are not required to have a license. Second thought, I guess I have to worry that I have my drivers license with me.
