  1. I will sign my name on crank baits, jerk baits, top water baits just about any reaction baits with a sharpie various colors. This kind of breaks up the appearance and gives it a different look, Good when fishing stained to muddy water!
  2. Wicked RS in shad color (it has an olympic blade) thats my favorite.
  3. I remember the days when I would save up to buy a lucky craft lure and was so scared to lose it i would never fish it where i needed to. now if I get out os a tackle shop or place like BPS or Cabelas for under 100 is a blessing, and i visit every tackle shop i can plus use online retailers 3-4 times a year. so i could spend a grand on tackle alone each year, that does not include rods reels or line. I also empty EVERY clearance bin i find with stuff i use. just today i bought 10 packs of brush hogs. they were a buck a pack even thou i have about 100 packs of brush hogs already.
  4. As someone who owns a boat and yet fishes out of the back of the boat, I have been in both positions about paying. as a boater I will not accept money from an angler unless they need a ride to the lake, then I am altering my day to accommodate them. Which i do not mind I will NEVER accept anything over 20 no matter what the situation! as a CO i will never pay over $20 unless the boater does something special like go fish half the day in my spots ECT... This one has only happened once and i slipped the boater 50, he never asked for anything and never took a penny from me ever again. Now i am going to be fishing rayovac and have heard the boaters expect the $$$ I will offer up some cash at the end of the day based on how the boater has been during the day.
  5. I would recommend each one build their own box and not something everyone on here tells them if they don't know the right way to fish them they will rarely catch fish. Like what was said before small plastics are a great way to start fishing and building the knowledge and confidence in those baits. Drop shot shake head split shot wacky rig Those are 4 great ways to start fishing and building confidence. The only other item i would recommend them learn is small spinners around 1/4 ounce or smaller. Best of luck Duff
