So my wife and I went to BPS to buy a new rod that they didn’t have which is no big deal, I’ll just order online. But I also wanted to checkout the Plano edge series tackle boxes but the price was more then I wanted to spend. I saw the Plano guide water proof boxes which I ended up buying which was much cheaper. Question is, is the edge series worth the money? I wanted to find something that would keep my hooks from rusting. Anyway any input is appreciated
I know what I am going to get, but it comes with or without side imaging. I think I know the answer to this, but I still have to ask. Do I need side imaging for my bow fishfinder? I do not a fishfinders with all the bells and whistles so to speak. Anyway, all input is appreciated thank you.
@MN Fisher@12poundbass, I just started and saw the Garmin STRIKER which I think is all I need. But I also think I need some good advice from experience boaters that would know more than me.
I would say around $500ish give or take. I’m not looking for anything like live scope. I have a Garmin 9 inch on the console and and an older bow unit that is a 4 inch Lawrance.
@MN Fisher just the basics really
I have posted before on what rod to get for a jig rod. I know I want it to be 7’6”I think, but do I want a medium heavy or heavy? That is the question. It could also be used for glide baits. I will say that being 6’2”and just over 300lbs I’ve always have used 7’ for all my fishing needs. Anyway thanks for the input.
So it seems the cause of my flat tires the other week on my trailer was from tire rot. Hard to believe trailer tires are so expensive. So if one tire has rot the other tire will be going flat soon. It is what it is
I really appreciate all the responses to my question. I have always thought that a 7’6” heavy rod is what I needed for using a jig. I now have something to think about now that is for sure.
Now that my jig rod is broken and out of service. I was wondering what is the perfect length for a jig rod? I know that everyone has their own preference. Mine was a 7’6” heavy, all opinions are welcome.
