  1. Thank you. They've agreed to let me ship it back for a refund
  2. A bow in the tip, might be a better way of describing it. I've contacted the seller and am returning it, hopefully I won't have to eat the return shipping.
  3. Duplicate post. Please remove
  4. I bought a St. Croix LTB shaky head spinning rod off eBay. When the FedEx guy gets there he offers to stick around while I open the package, to make sure the rod is okay, since the packing job looks so awful. Three sections of taped together boxes, very flimsy. I begin to open the package and realize the seller has just stuck the rod in this makeshift box and filled it with packing peanuts. When I get the rod out, I realize it has a bend in it, 6" from the tip (below the second guide). Next I realize that the box is literally 2" shorter than the rod. Why would you ship a $260 rod like this! It was used, I didn't pay that much. Is it fixable?

  6. I like the Berkley Braid knot for tying fluorocarbon line. It starts like Shaw's knot, but you go through the bottom loop, instead of the top loop.
  7. I have the Curado I and it is smooth and powerful, but I dislike the way it palms. It isn't that it's bulky, just the way I hold my reels.
  8. If I wanted a smooth/powerful reel for throwing 1/2 oz spinnerbaits, would the Met or Chronarch be a better fit.
  9. cbass12, which rod did you get? I was wondering if they were less tip heavy.
  10. Anyone got one of these rods yet? I'm still waiting on Cabelas or Dick's to start carrying the new rods so I can get my hands on one.
  11. Thanks Goose52. I'm thinking it will be a nice Christmas present to me from me. I may have to sell a couple of my other reels to justify the purchase. Ah who am I kidding, I can't seem to part with any of them.
  12. I'm really excited about these reels. I have always liked the way the round reels palm, however their lower gear ratios have kept me from using them more. I believe the gear ratio on these are 6:8:1, with roughly a 30" inches per handle turn retrieve. Anyone else looking forward to this reel? Anyone have it?
  13. I have two of the 6'9" MH Micro Guides and love it for Creature Baits and Jigs.
