  1. Looks like this weather is sticking around too. Got all of my gear ready to go!
  2. Think St. Croix tends to be on the heavier side (just from what I've read) but I'm not too sure as that's all I've ever fished. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
  3. Think you're better off dedicating one for trout and another for bass fishing considering some of the other stuff you like to throw. If that isn't an option id probably go with a Medium Fast.
  4. I just happen to have a 7' MHF AvidX for sale
  5. 6'3" MF Loomis Bronzeback, 2500 Stradic FJ, 10lb PP / 8lb FC leader, Green pumpkin Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw.
  6. I'd go with either MF or MHF. I fish both with t rigged senkos and flukes.
  7. Check out the Southeast Fishing section if you haven't already. Gotta be some info in there.
  8. Have a couple of Shimano Saharas. They've held up great over the years.
  9. Welcome. Search around man. There is a tackle section with a TON of info.
  10. Just assuming he meant what's producing in general, not necessarily late winter. Hasnt started for me yet either.
  11. Not sure where you're fishing but smallies nail Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craws on the Upper Potomac / Shenandoah / and James. Poppers also treat me well early AM and PM. If I'm not fishing rivers I do well with trick worms, t rigged senkos, and black/blue jigs (occaquan / cove).
  12. Not too many local tackle shops in the Northern VA area (few fly fishing shops) but nothing else that I'm aware of. Usually have to drive ~90 minutes to a Bass Pro. If I'm in a pinch I'll go to a DSG or Gander Mountain and they both are usually lacking in product.
  13. Was pretty quick getting them back in the bag after checking them out. Looking forward to trying em out.
  14. Congrats dude! Love the wacky rig.
  15. Good luck at Burke. Did a bit of bank fishing all around the lake today. No dice.
  16. Yeah, not expecting much. Gonna be in the area so I figured I'd stop by. Have an old Sedona I might trade in. I'll probably just end up grabbing some hooks and weights.
  17. Gonna check the one out in Ashland tomorrow
  18. Have you tried any copolymer line? A lot of guys seem to like the Yo Zuri Hybrid stuff. I don't have any personal experience with it but plan on trying it on my next reel.

    Tubes

Can't go wrong with Gitzit Tubes! I also use Coffee Tubes from Strike King. I usually huck em out there and I'll bounce them off the bottom. Pop pop let it drop etc etc.
  20. Hmmmm. Bout a 45 minute drive.
