I don't know exactly how much it weighed (no fish scale) but that was my guess. Do you guys have a guess on the wight?

That is exactly what I was thinking. The only other reason that made me unsure was if someone else caught it and keeps it but hopefully they will let it go too.

Friday i caught a 5-6 pounder and let it go. Everyone said to eat it or mount it but i wanted to let it get bigger. Did i do the right thing in your opinion?

Look at what I caught on a big plastic work hook. Has this happened to anyone else?

Couldn't have said it better. Same thing happened to me about a week ago. There was a big water temp change and I fished for hours and no bites. Wait for the temps to stabilize and try again. Good luck

Went to the new Feild and Stream opening and picked up some strike king 1.5s and some Spros. thanks for all the advice guys.

If I bought some strike kings and wanted to upgrade to hooks what brand and size are best. Thanks for all the suggestions If there are any more please share. I am almost decided on what bait to get just a few more questions...

I already have some deep divers but I want to try out some square bills. I have done some research but not a lot of luck on which bait is the best. I heard that the lucky craft lc 1.5 rattle is good. Also is the Xcalabir xcs any good? What crank baits are best and won't break the bank (under $15) hopefully. Also what colors do I need? I live on the Tennessee river and the water is "fairly clear." On tackle wear house some of the crankbaits don't have hooks in the picture do they come with hooks? If not what hooks do I need to get? Thanks

Just signed up and this forum looks well monitored and full of information. I am very new to fishing and have watched and read hours of bass lures, rods, and rigs... And so on. I hope to learn more and more as I go along. Thanks
