  1. I believe color matters. I won't bore anyone with why other than to say, that many times I have seen where a little chartreuse or orange highlight really improves the bite.
  2. No big deal, probably could have worded it better.
  3. Think you kind of missed my point. How many people do you know that carry only 1 or 2 colors of baits. If color makes no difference and all.
  4. The two batteries need to be hooked together in series if you are using a 24V trolling motor. If you are using a 12V trolling motor then they would need to connected in parallel. You can charge both batteries at the same time in both cases, however my personal preference in to not parallel charge multiple batteries. There are a lot of examples on making the connections if you search here or the internet.
  5. What are you using the two batteries that you want to hook together for? Many people run all their accessories off of the starting battery.
  6. Not trying to be a wise guy, but I would bet if a guy did an internet search on this subject he would get enough information to be an expert on the subject in no time. Seriously, this has been discussed a zillion times in a zillion places.
  7. I find one thing that stands out in these conversations that is odd. There are many people that feel color makes very little to no difference at all, and they generally want to make sure that others hear their opinion about it. If we were being honest it would be fun to know how many different colors of plastics that they have in their bags/boats right now. It reminds me of that old adage, "Do as I say, not as I do."
  8. I use the 130, internet research on the bait talks about a few issues with the smaller bait which has kept me from trying it.
  9. I don't know if there is a correct answer to your question the way it is worded. I don't think one way will out perform the other in all instances. If you have your topwater bait selection narrowed down to a dozen or so, try them both ways and you will soon have your answer.
  10. I know of one model in our local area that has been working for some time now. They are a brick and mortar store with large internet sales as well. They choose the products and wholesalers they carry and deal with carefully based on margin. They have 1 very popular product that they carry and offer it at a price that is cheaper than anyone else. In this case Do-It molds. This creates a lot of internet business for that product as well as the other materials associated with it. They have a lot of walk in business for live and frozen bait, they do not sell live bait fish, just worms, and frozen bait, people browse, and purchase other items as well. The average customer does not buy 200 dollar reel, 300 dollar rods and 40 dollar lures, they shop cheap, hooks, weights, line, plastic baits, cheaper rod and reels well under a 100 dollars. They cater to this crowd so they rarely miss a sell. They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that take time to help customers with selection, knots, rigging, whatever the customers needs. They have been successful with this model where others have failed, they compete daily with Gander Mountain, Dicks, Cabelas, and a couple of Academy Sports. They continue to fine tune the products they carry based on their customer base, and have enjoyed increased sales over the last 5 years. You can make it work, if you put your customers needs and wants ahead of your own vision of what your store should look like.
  11. Can't make the comparison for you, but I will say that Gliss has been very good on my spinning gear in the 18 and 24 lb test.
  12. LC RC 1.5 LC SP 100 Zara Spook Jr. DD22 DT10
  13. Nice fish!
  14. I think you may be confused because of the way they advertise fishing reels in general. Some refer to a reel like the mentioned Pflueger Supreme as a LP reel and others choose not to . Just know that they are the same reel, as long as it is a baitcaster, the only difference is in the wording.
  15. You will really enjoy the Premier, it is a solid reel all the way around. The 2nd Gen Premier had some tough competition with the OG Zillion, and the Curado 200e but I always felt like it was very capable of holding its own. I had 5 of them and a Revo Elite IB, I never felt out gunned.
  16. Like yourself, I use to fish ABU exclusively, once they started with the gen 3, I lost interest and moved. I still have 3 or 4 gen 2 reels and an MGX , the rest are gone. I guess we will see what they come up with for the new reels shortly.
  17. I got to check one out at the Classic, the guys in the ABU booth had one they were hiding, when I mentioned it they kind of played it off, but when I told them I had seen pictures of it, they let me sneak a quick peek. Did not get to handle it though.
  18. Knowing what type of reel it is will help to diagnose the problem. Can you see the spool turning while the reel is engaged and pulling out line?
  19. Which one do you have? There have been 3 generations of the STX. Although it was considered heavy and the finish was poor, the 2nd gen Revo STX was my favorite. It was a very solid reel.
  20. Really nice job on the video. The only thing I noticed was a comment about line selection. In particular FC line absorbing water. FC line does not absorb or hold water, perhaps you meant to say nylon mono filament. Great job introducing those that are new to the Ned.
  21. Which ones you talking about? The No doubt, shutdown, Ft. Knox inactive bass, the absolutely closed, lights out, don't bother knocking inactive bass, or the kind of, sort of, maybe inactive bass. LOL
  22. 6th Sense Crush 300DD is a very good bait.
  23. I am aware this research is not new, but I always enjoy reading what others have found, never know when you might find a gem. You're correct, always two sides of the coin, but how about treating others with the same courtesy that you're treated with. Why the need to be rude and nasty when making points? Typically I read very little of your posts because they typically have the same tone to them, but I dislike it when they ruin a good conversation.
