Hey folks I need some help fixing up a rod tip. I am familiar with the process but uncertain on the replacement part. I have a Fenwick Eagle 7' Medium Heavy Fast rod that needs a tip replacement. Anyone know have a part number and place to purchase a tip for this rod? It does not have to be OEM just comparable. I looked at some local places and all they carry are the crappy plastic versions. Good thought on the Ryder Cup. That might be an interesting concept in fishing. Maybe it's between states though? I'd watch that. Every two years, new lake each time, 50 2person teams, match play, Winner takes home a trophy that passes to the next winners. What state are you folks betting on? A good point to an early comparison of golf and fishing. Golf reaches every continent, except Antarctica, in a very large way. Uhhhh humans have even brought the game to the moon! Kinda lol.

Interesting numbers. I would be one arm short (probably the left arm) if I had made a bet on more golfers vs. anglers. I don't think those numbers give us the whole picture though. For one the number of people who went fishing is segmented. Golf is golf (they are not counting mini golf). I think a much higher percentage of people who play golf also watch it.

I don't think TV coverage matters if your audience doesn't have cable. TV is there to advertise to those who already watch. If TV is their only plan than it's not a good plan. Let me frame my comment different. I read, BPT/MLF is going to grow the sport. I've read nothing on how they intend to do so. Currently we have a blanket statement on growing the sport. I would like them to acknowledge and address the other issues that lead them in this direction. Having another tour may be a a really good start. First it creates competition between tours to draw the best anglers to each. Second it has created more spots for more anglers. This is my speculation; Not MLF statement. Now that The Who is who isn't has concluded. I'd like to hear what the plan is for growth of the game. If they can't back up those statements it will appear as a cash grab by selected anglers desguised as something else. Food for thought... Maybe pro anglers are asking for more than the sport can provide. We all love this sport. Maybe our passion blinds us to the fact, Bass fishing is not that popular. In your day to day life how many of your friends and colleagues fish? How many for bass? How many exclusive to bass? Im not saying that you have to be exclusive but it's more likely that person is your audience.

I fail to see how the MLF is growing the sport.

I haven't counted. It's just never as many as last year

Here is a green question. I've never owned an injected 2 stroke. I've been mixing my own for years. New boats injecte. The oil fill has no dip stick. The reservoir is not clear enough for me to see the line. No gauge at the console that I'm aware of... how do I check the oil? I said it was a green question but I'm turning red trying to figure this out... lol

Anyone ever used this concoction to clean algae off their right? I tried it today but was nervous about potential ill effects. It worked great but I hosed it right off. I didn't want this stuff sitting on the gel coat for long. Any problems with doing this?

I'm leaning a bit more every time I mess with it. Spoke to the marina I purchased from. Sounds like I might have a compatibility issue with the lss-1 and the gen 3 Hds7. Looks like I have to by pass the box and hook the transducer directly to the unit. Before. Start pulling wires I will hook the gen 2 unit up at the bow with the current connections. Theoretically that should work... I think.

08 200 Evinrude. 80 maxim trolly. Lowrance hds7 at the bow and console. 2 8' power poles. Everything this fella needs and then some. I spend most of my time in water that's 10 foot or less lol. but I'm looking forward to using these graphs to search out some out of sight hide holes in a bit deeper water too. that is if if I can get them rigged up right. I think I'm having some compatibility issues with the gen 3 hds7 and the lss-1.

I have a little more information about this. The graph is hooked to an less-1 via a Ethernet cable. The Acc rocker is in the one position (I think it might be run off that?). The settings on the graph have the structure scan on. Still black. Transducer issue? Maybe a cover that I failed to take off?

Put the new boat in the water tonight for a quick learning session on the electronics. I assume everything was installed correct. the marina owner was The previous owner. I immediately flipped to the structure screen.... black. I'm such a dang rookie to electronics I don't even know where to begin. So opened the manual. Confused I turned to I google. More confused lol. I just emailed the sales person I worked with but I can't wait till tomorrow lol. Any words of wisdom on what I'm doing wrong?

Well the right deal came along and I went a totally different direction. Ranger 198vx parked out front.

If other guys are catching them in that area. Then you know that fish are there. There is no shame in watching what they do and copying that. That's part of learning. second, if your using the same technique and yielding the same result ,skunked, each time. You ought to try something different. Which is easy to say for veterans who've been around long enough to learn a few things. So to get started, keep that senko tied on. Use your imagination. Change the way you fish that lure. More twitching, less twitching. Hook placement. But don't stop there. Learn what you can do with that bait. You have an awesome resource here and on YouTube. There are several well documented ways to fish that senko. And if your crafty you might find a new method or at least a combination of methods that will hook you up.

I found that boat in Indiana. My searches have been within a 1000 miles. I figured I would check here to see if anyone had other resources to find this boat. I don't mind an 8 hour ride or even having the boat shipped. Franco, I had a suspicion this would be a difficult find because of the short time this boat has been available and folks propensity for hanging on to lunds (especially this one). I appreciate the time fellas. I will keep looking.

Thank you Tim. I was unclear in my post. I was referring to 2016 or 2017. The 1875 is an 18' boat.

Been looking for this boat for a bit. Preferably in Grey or black maybe white. A lightly used 16 or 17 with some gizmos (trolling motor, depth finders) would be better than brand new if I can save a significant amount. Im negotiable on a 150 but would prefer 200hp. Tough to find anything online and locally they don't exist lol. I've google searched. Tried boats.com and boat select. Anyone have any suggestions where to look?

Fenwick eagle 7' medium heavy fast. I paired this with an Abu Ora SX. I throw spinners and Texas rigs on this all day long. Also cranks like a DT 6 or 10 size. Still ticking strong after 3 years of heavy use. I fish an hour or two after work 2-5 days a week. Fish Saturday sunday mornings for 4-12 hours lol?
