  1. That's what I figured, didn't think I was missing anything but trouble by taking them off. Thanks guys.
  2. I have a bunch of older Rapala baits that came w these hooks. I took them all off, I can't imagine a hook like that on a squarebill? Anyone fish these things, without hanging on everything that is lol.
  3. I can't post pics anymore either, erased almost all my attachments in account and still only allows 500Kb. They had to change something, probably getting to be too much storage for the server.
  4. I didn't hear or c anything about a new NRX did u? As for the Conquest I will have to own one...or several. Can't imagine or think it's possible to have built a stronger rod that is as light and sensitive as the NRX. But if it's really close in sensitivity and weight with Torzite guides and new color scheme (thank god) then I'm all in. Don't care about the strength have no problems with the NRX's. Looks like the added price would mostly be the expensive Torzites (which should be on the NRX) and there spiral X wrap or whatever they call it. And as far as weight and sensitivity we won't know till they come out. But I'm positive if they were more or the same in weight and sensitivity it would have been mentioned in their discription which talked about strength and the Torzites as they would make for a huge selling point. Well I already pre ordered the Huk flip flops and sportsmans energy drink as they are clearly innovations ahead of there time!
  5. I very much doubt it as they would of already. Wouldn't u rather buy it much cheaper from Japan. He was talking about the new Shiloomis Conquest 700 dollar rod.
  6. Yep same deal, deleted almost all my attachments and it's still doing it. I figured they limited it because maybe they are outgrowing their servers. But it's only allowing me to dwnld 500kb that's just too small, it use to be 7Mb that can't be right. The file sz of an image on a 3 MP camera is 0.5Mb, I don't think you could buy a phone w only a 3 MP camera lol. Can one of the moderators help us out, how do we contact tech support lol. But in all seriousness not being able to post pics is a game changer. Thanks
  7. Some of the latest fish caught on latest tackle purchase. Helps justify the disease. WTH is goin on, try to post pic and it says only allowed to post 501kb? You gotta be kidding me, is that because the fish is too big?
  8. Where did u find the Thunder Shad, ebay?
  9. Weightless, C-rig and the past 2 wks with 1/16th worm weight NOT pegged. My buddies pond has lots of milfoil that comes up several feet from the bottom in like 7, 8ft of water. Cast it out and when you feel it in the foil snap it lightly out of it and let it fall, which is when the normally hit it. They also hit it working it across the top like a jerkbait. The slip sinker allows the bait to fall straight down in the holes. The pegged weight will make it fall erratically or spiral usually causing it to snag in the weeds and keep it from falling straight down the hole. The slip sinker also gives the illusion of a bait fish (the fluke) chasing something. Also when I fish it like a C-rig it's not a traditional heavy weight and I use a worm weight with bobber stops on either side of the weight, allows you to fish it shallow in the wind without scaring the fish too bad.
  10. Thanks man, and I've read about some of the pros doing this.
  11. All mentioned above are great jigs, the new 6th Sense jigs are awesome as well.
  12. I own War Eagle spinnerbaits also, many of them as they r top quality baits. And I catch fish on them, I own some other brands also. Decided to sell the SK's, gonna get them listed on Epay.
  13. Off the top of my head I think they r a sz 6. Just know from experience or u can just match them up w your replacement hook of choice. As I learned from trial and error going up one sz weighs the bait down and it doesn't work correctly. I replaced it w a red round bend on the front of the same sz. I also run a feather treble on the back. Change hooks for my own crazy phycosis lol. I want a high quality sharp hook on all my baits. The front one red as I believe it helps fish key in on the front hook, rear feather for more attraction especially when it's sitting still. I use braid to a one foot mono 13lb leader. Any of the top brand hooks r fine, gammy, Mustad or owner.
  14. Thanks boss, what's the water clarity on the lake your throwing those colors?
  15. Does anyone do well with SK spinnerbaits or is it just me? A lot of them aren't cheap either, 7+bucks for some of their sb's. Recently I have started buying other brands and there are a lot I want to try, I probably have a 100 of the SK ones and I'm thinking of selling them.
  16. I might have an hr on them, and have only caught 1 fish. They have recently become very popular amongst the older guys in our club, takes them little longer to catch on to new baits lol. But them have been doing very well with them, especially when the shad spawn was going on with the bone color. I know a cpl fish in the 9+ category have been landed. I would change the hooks on it if u haven't already, stay the same sz as I went larger on the front on it didn't run right. Also the guy doing the best with them is using the stop and go retrieve. He didn't say but has been having fish and big fish hit it just sitting on the stop and go retrieve so I'm thinking he has put a feathered treble on the rear and I have done the same lol.
  17. Had 2 tournaments on Thursday so had time to burn between them. Took 1st place for 2nd wk in a row in co's so went to one of the tackle shops on Fork. 2nd pick is burning time in walmart while the gf is shopping. Thought I would throw a little review in with this also. The V&M & Talon jigs are very nice, with the Talon being top notch quality. It's a do all jig with a hand tied wire skirt that is cut to length and ready to go out of the package. I think the Berkley Fusion weedless wacky hooks are going to become my new go to wacky hook. The Trokars r nice but not sure how weedless they will be. I fished the Beast Coast swimbaits the other day and they are awesome with a great action.
  18. Well I see I'm not the only one changing it every 2 to 3 months. I change it because of the memory and yes I use KVD conditioner on it.
  19. Yea, I have 16,12, 8lb fluoro 13lb mono in my bag but wasn't gonna take off the brand new 20lb Tatsu. Only had one fish on that rig after catching almost 24lbs on it with the lighter line. So not sure if the line affected the bait or what. Just like the pros use light line on a dropshot because the lighter line puts more action in the bait. But I won't fish that rig on that heavy of a line again that's for sure lol. Still finished first in the co anglers though lol.
  20. So I caught a 25lb bag last Thursday in our club tourney on Fork. I caught all my fish on a Neko Rig on 14lb line. The line needed replaced and I forgot about it till today. So tomorrow is our tournament again and I don't have anywhere to pick up line. So I rigged up w 20lb Tatsu, the water is only a ft to a ft and a half visibility so I'm not worried about that. But I am thinking about how the heavier line will affect the action of the light bait. A 7" Reins worm with a nail weight, I forget the actual weight of the nail weight. What do you guys think?
  21. How long do you fish your Fluoro before changing it? I fish Tatsu and just wondering how often you guys change yours.
  22. That's a good price, is that new from an online sale? That's a great model.
  23. I know this is the Fishing Tackle thread but it's also my home lol. I post 98% of my stuff and questions in this thread and have come to know the guys that frequent this thread. So I like sharing my fish pics w u guys and they are caught on the lures I post in the bait monkey thread. So here is 2 of the 7 nice ones I caught today.
