  1. Ditch the 704 and go with a medium action rod so u can load it up easier and not have to throw it as hard.
  2. U can absolutely catch them on Topwater in 52° water. I've talked to plenty of pros about the same thing. Now with that being said they will most likely bite it if it's 52° but during a warming trend, if the water is dropping daily most likely not. But the only way to know is to know your on fish and throw it for 20min. As far as what's the best that's determined by the conditions like everything else. Water clarity and flat water vs ripple. But u can catch them on flat water w a noisy buzzbait, but I wouldnt throw the small yellow magic in a good ripple as an example.
  3. I go cuz I like to shop lol, but only buy new stuff mostly hard baits to see the colors. They r never true on most sites and I'm colorblind so I ask my gf what colors r on the bait lol. Stuff I always use gets ordered, but all in all they don't get much of my business. Do wish they carried more high end rods so I could floor bend em and check the action and feel them in hand b4 buying though
  4. I use a combo of all, have too much plastic to put in just boxes. And most of it warps boxes. Boxing them is the least used though and it's just for some of my straight tail dropshot worms. Forget creature baits in a box and if they come in clam shells they stay in them. As a co-angler I keep them in original bags and put those bags in the binder bags in a worm binder. Then just switch the baits according to the bite. When I'm a Co I also put spinnerbaits in a worm binder and thread the binder handle through my tackle bag shoulder strap and set it on top of it. When I get a boat more stuff will go in boxes like jigs, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits in one of those new bass mafia boxes.
  5. Hands down my favorite frogs, crushed a ton of 6lb fish on white during shad spawn on Fork. They take on water but so does every other top brand and I have them all. What mod do u do to the frogs? Silicone around the tails?
  6. Actually lol 3 yrs. I emailed him a cpl times and never heard anything. 2 yrs later he contacts me and says hey I found your emails sorry bout that. But since it's been 2 yrs I will let you order 5 baits which I don't allow and will get them out in 2 or 3 months. I got them a yr later lol.
  7. Received my HPH glide gizzards last wk. 3 of the 8" and 2 of the 6". Pic looks like **** cuz it has to be shrunk. I don't understand is everyone having to shrink their pics cuz it doesn't look like it?
  8. How do I post pics, use to be able to do from phone but know it only allows 1.5mb pics. So I uploaded to photobucket click insert other media and copy link to url and it just posted the actual link not the photo?
  9. Awesome, thanks Tom! Didn't even think of that. Didn't think that small of a prop would do much in stained. Had it in my head for some reason that they were just a visual attraction. And most people say it's a clear water bait correct?
  10. Can u explain what u mean Tom, thanks.
  11. Thanks man!
  12. Are spybaits more of a smallmouth bait or do you guys do well with them on LM also? And I know they work best in clear water but are they worth fishing in semi to stained water?
  13. Going for 3 or 4wks, will be in Hudson area but found tons of lakes and ponds a half hr away in Lake Fern FL. If anyone can give any insight on what I can fish without getting kicked out I would appreciate it, thanks.
  14. Will be in Hufson Florida on Monday 20th for probably a month. Need to find some places to bass fish while I'm there. Ponds, golf courses, retaining ponds or your boat lol. From Google maps there's not much there, cpl ponds that are surrounded by houses. Will these ponds be private property that are surrounded by houses can I legally wade in the water? Or try and find a home owner to ask? My home lake in TX is Fork so any favors would be gladly returned, thanks.
  15. I would put a magnet strip somewhere and let them dry on it. When I'm co-angling in a boat I leave them in cup holders till they dry which doesn't take long in TX then put them back in box.
  16. Post them here? Here is a cpl but I have more pics. Ok, it only let me upload one and is now giving me an upload error message.
  17. I agree w this and it makes total sense. Thanks man.
  18. Bought some a while ago and threw one last evening. Caught 5 on it, 2 5s a 4 a 3 and a dink. The thing is jacked lol, wire will never be like it was. Now I fished till dark so I'm not sure really how it's running with how I was able to straighten the wire out. And I'm not complaining I don't care but is it normal not to get many fish out of these baits?
  19. On a steady retrieve? Maybe they were just short striking mine that day.
  20. I'm just reeling it in they blow up and I never feel any weight. They are completely missing it I guess. And these r 4 and 5lb fish so there not too small to eat it.
  21. That seems to be what was happening to me, and all my blow ups came on a steady retrieve.
  22. I keep telling myself when I buy a new bait ONLY buy ONE. So I recently bought 3 of these when I came across some at my local shop cuz of the hype when they came out. Well yesterday I took one to the proving grounds, Lake x. Aka my buddies pond in TX lol. Well after 5 or 6 blow ups and not tying into one for a sec I tied on a white spinnerbait and went to work. 50lb braid heavy action rod. And I can't remember the last time I lost or missed a regular frog fish. First cpl fish I gave them a sec to feel weight before setting hook like I do on reg frogs and nothing. Then I just steady retrieved it, fish would blow up never felt a thing with both giving them time and not. So what's the deal, am I doing something wrong or is it the frog?
  23. I live on youtube lol. Yes there are many videos and I watched a bunch which is why I posted this question. Videos either rigged it hook up or down and I wanted some opinions and decided to do as pic above, thanks.
  24. I decided to rig it that way also.
  25. So I'm fairly new to the Neko rig even though it has caught my biggest bag on Fork. I picked up some of the weedless VMC hooks. And after watching several youtube videos w different pros I noticed they run the hook in the bait differently. With the worm hanging straight weight down Iaconelli runs it with the shank of the hook against worm. Feider runs it w the hook point against worm. What's your experience?
