  1. New to throwing swimbaits, how do you store your 6 & 8" Huds? And anyone that owns a bunch of Huddlebugs how are you storing those? Also do I need to do anything from keeping these baits from dry rotting? Thanks guys I really appreciate it?
  2. I currently just leave them in the factory bags. But I want to start putting some of them in Planos. I have a few questions, will all plastics warp the Plano boxes? Some plastics come with a lot of oil scent or whatever they pack them with, do you wipe off the plastics before putting in a box or if you pull them out one by one and not pour them in there is no worry of it running out of the box onto everything? And last and just the opposite do you have to worry about the plastics drying up in boxes and if so what can you add to keep them from dry rotting?
  3. I'm assuming most guys are using fast or extra fast actions cuz it doesn't take as much effort to rip the bait correct? Even though we like using moderate to moderate fast w treble hook baits. If so I know what I'm gonna get. I have the different gear ratio reels are u guys using 7s or 6s? Thanks
  4. Shorter rod less distance, will have to position yourself closer to fish to reach them. In heavy cover/stained water it won't matter as much but I don't like getting right on top of them. And like stated above 2" isn't gonna make much of a difference at all if none.
  5. Fishing high end gear won't make u a better angler. It will however allow u to differentiate the difference between the cover and structure your fishing, very important. It will also allow you to feel bites with certain techniques on days when the fish are just grabbing the bait and not moving. Flipping to suspended fish on timber, jerkbait fishing and while your bait is sitting the fish inhales it and comes straight to u ect. And being able to capitalize on these bites is what will make u be a better angler. Boom drops the mic and walks off stage.
  6. @cgolf when u saysay slider head is that like a Greenfish Tackle Creeper Head? Never heard of the Anglers Choice baits, is that a DSG bait?
  7. Come on u just bought those from the TW sale, lol. What's the bait on the bottom far left?
  8. Old Rogues and a 7'11" MH M GLX CBR.
  9. Man this is winding me up, I cannot post a pic over 1mb? It use to allow up to like 7 mb and I could post 2 or 3 pics, now I can't post one? Is there any mods that can help me or who can I contact in regards to my problem? I reset my device, logged out and in of the site, tried posting other pics in other threads and I get the same thing. When I click on the pic a window pops up and says your only allowed to upload 1.16 mb?
  10. These were delivered today. Have more coming in the suspended model. Along w 3 NIB 1984 Rebel Pop R 70's and an assortment of Xcalibur baits. I can't post pics, every time I try it says I can only upload 1.16mb?
  11. Nothing wrong w that. Waiting on 3 1984 NIB Rebel Pop R 70's that I grabbed off the auction site.
  12. I have a VIP account w Rapala and Missile Baits and get a discount on everything they make lol. 25% off Missile, not sure what Rapala is but get the DT's for $5.20.
  13. Thanks for the heads up on the 25% off. Never been on that site before. Dropped $350, will post on bait monkey thread once I receive it.
  14. Does it look like this?
  15. Flash Pointer comes in a 115 but not the FlashMinnow, the closest would be the 110 in the Minnow.
  16. You guys are awesome, I came across Evergreen FA-115s for a great price anyone ever fish em? @thebillsman @Jeff H @camman @FishOnLMB @Oklahoma Mike @IndianaFinesse @Ktho @kickerfish1 @roadwarrior
  17. @WIGuide hit the nail on the head w his answer. And like he mentioned when u blow the fishes mouth open with the weight if your using a huge lead weight of an oz or more u could very well miss the hook set altogether. I don't get to do any punching as a co-angler cuz none of the old guys do it or fish slow enough to do it. So I own 1/8th to 1oz in Tungsten. I use 1/8th to 3/8th the most for worm fishing. Currently have a ton of the Strike King stuff cuz I got it really cheap but I don't like it and about to purchase some of the Picasso worm weights. Just started fishing the ned rig and bought their brand name jig heads which are lead. Fishing 4 and 5" Roboworms on a darter/jig head has been very productive on Fork lately so when I made my Keitech order I picked up some of there Tungsten jig heads. Those with my NRX dropshot rod tell me exactly what kind of cover or structure I'm fishing.
  18. When I lived up North nothing and I mean nothing kept my feet warm. Top of the line boots any of them w up to 2k grams of Thinsulate and the heaviest Smartwool socks u could buy. If I was sitting my toes were ice. Then a yr or so before moving to Tx they came out w those cordless electric heated insoles for a 100 bucks. They are awesome, don't know about wearing them in waders lol. Although I probably would I trusted my Orvis chest waders and even if they did get wet I'm not sure there's enough voltage to hurt ya. Probably just ruin them.
  19. Definitely something to fish on a dropshot lol. Not sure of the name of the bait. And since they labeled it as such it could very well not even be a big bite bait. Try saying that fast 3x lol.
  20. Sweet, will pick some up. @Bluebasser86 I trusttrust your opinion, if you could give me some jerkbait recommendations in my other post or here I would really appreciate it. Thanks man.
  21. Jerkbaits are my weakest lure in terms of amount of baits. So I need to place an order and what better way to find out the top producing baits instead of waisting money on one's that appeal to me more than the fish lol. Feal free to list more than 3. Oh and your best producing colors for slightly stained water, visibility 3 to 5ft. Thanks guys!
  22. I'm lacking in cold water baits. And looking at the LC Bevyshad it is shaped like a Shadrap at least it does to me in the pics. Anyone own any? Is it like a Shadrap or does anyone know if in fact it is a cold water bait? Thanks guys!
