  1. Megabass expensive? You sure your not thinking of another company? Thanks for throwin your soft jerkbait favorite in there, the flukes r Mina also I fish them alot on a mojo rig. And yes I was jokin about MB being inexpensive lol. I only have 5 but just started working on building up my jerkbait box. I fished one yesterday but my boater fished areas non productive for a jerkbait. Dynamic lures, that's a new one to me. Never heard of that co. but going to check em out. Thanks always like being introduced to new co.'s
  2. That's actually what I meant just worded it wrong. If you go through the Bait Monkey thread you will have no doubt lol.
  3. Good point, so we now have one reason to do it lol. I just spooled mine up for tomorrow and probably put a 60yrd leader of Tatsu on it. The braid has been on there coming up on 2 yrs lol. Wouldn't matter if the mono coiled if it's never gonna come off the spool, so I don't know. I'm gonna find that Grigsby video lol. You don't see the need for a fluro leader? Or for a long leader?
  4. I don't understand why some guys and pros, Shaw Grigsby being one use such a long fluro leader that the braid never comes off the spool? Then what's the sense of the braid? And he doesn't say the braid is just a backer as if he had some older stuff laying around. I'd have to watch the video again but his main reason was to be able to fish a whole tourney without worrying about having to re tie a new leader. Another pro forget who talked about running one long enough as to not have to deal with the connection knot goin through the guides. So does anyone know what sence this makes. @WRB you run a real long leader does your braid ever come off the spool? Thanks guys!
  5. Yea I wish, I just don't have any kids lol.
  6. Lol, now I get it. I had to look up the definition of budget. And I only wish this was true lol.
  7. Man thanks for the heads up on the bulk price. I forget how much the bulk packs I was looking at were but they were priced really well. I will let u know if I find them cheaper.
  8. On a deep water hump on Fork hmmm, tell me more lol. Fishin our club tourney there tomorrow. If u ever wanna hook up and go let me know. On any lake in Tx, don't work so can fish whenever and I always put $40 $50 bucks in the tank. Can't get a new boat till we move this yr so I can store it in a garage. And I'm great at backing them down a ramp.
  9. You guys are awesome, I really stepped up my jerkbait arsenal but not done yet. Well I'm never done w any category of baits lol. I'm fishing a tourney on Fork tomorrow and I'm pressed for time but I will list what I have aquired soon. Next is buying hooks for the baits. I'm 99% sure I'm goin w a round bend just not sure which one yet. Also want to put dressed trebles on the rear. Thanks again guys.
  10. The Fletcher Shryok trebles at Walmart are sticky sharp if your lookin for a short shank EWG style hook. They come in sz 2 4 6 and 15 in a pack and are made by Eagle Claw. They sell them at Walmart and are on sale right now for $3.42-$3.47 you can't beat em for that price.
  11. On your Topwater, Jerkbaits, Lipless and Crankbaits. Which style do u use on each, Round Bend or EWG? If you wanna get specific on Manufacturer & Model that would be great as there's a big difference between normal, short shank and strength/thickness of wire. Thanks as always.
  12. @Centralinfinesse Is the Buck Perry Spoon Plugging a book I should read as a person who can never get enough info? It's a book you could read and use the info with other other techniques correct?
  13. You bought all of these? I really like the top and bottom one. Where did u get all of them? Thanks I really appreciate it!
  14. The old Rogues are 5 per box so 20 of the clown color.
  15. NICE! How do you have the swivels attached to the inside of the lid?
  16. @RyneB Nice boat brotha! You guys r awesome, my main goal was to keep baits in the Plano to keep them straight and not be carrying my tackle bag and gallon ziploc containers as a co-angler. So after reading the comments I'm going to put the ones I'm going to use in the tourney in a Plano. The ones I can't like Rage in clam shells ect. I will leave in original container. I went to Wallyworld last night and bought 6 of the Flambeau 4007 for only $4.66 a pc so not worried if they warp. And the baits in a lot of oil or scent I'm just gonna rinse off like mentioned above as I usually use JJs magic on my baits, and the clear if I don't want to dye it. Thanks a lot guys!
  17. That's awesome, can I pay u to make me one lol!
  18. Thanks a lot guys, after reading your responses it makes sense that the weight and depth of the bait would make a difference also. A heavier deeper diving bait is gonna have more resistance in the water hence taking more to move it.
  19. Thanks, but I want to store some in planos. Like my straight tail Robos and ect. It will also help me from taking way too much plastic as a co-angler. So I'm looking for answers to my questions from guys currently doing it. But thanks for your response.
